For one, he's with DEMs on health care. Another is tax reform. A third is infrastructure.

I see DEM purity tests hurting them in mod/con districts, such as for the Mayor of Omaha ...

McConnell is still mad at trump for not appointing Manchin and Heitkamp to his cabinet, making WV and ND easy senate pickups.

There's a nasty fight in Indiana already between GOP Congressmen Messer and Rokita for the GOP nomination for senate to go against Donnelley.

GOPs have settled on a candidate against McCaskill. Manchin will have a tough race against Congressman Jenkins. That's the five deep red states for senate .

I see the two parties coming together in Congress in spite of trump and out of fear of him. We already saw that with the overwhelming votes for Russia sanctions, which trump complained about.

I'm sure there are 67 senate votes and 290 house votes for great legislation if trump vetoes. trump will just be a figurehead if GOPs are smart, or they'll have trouble down-ballot the next two cycles ...

Senator Manchin was referring to a push by his Democrat colleagues to have him sign a "letter" to define the Democrats 3 main "talking points" on tax reform. He refuses to sign it.

I applaud this act of open rebellion even if it is on a minor issue. The mid-term election is underway already. Manchin will be battling a Republican in what will be undoubtedly be a hard fought campaign in a state who's governor switch from Democrat to Republican just last week.

This is only a small crack in the Democrats front line but small cracks in enormous dams tend to grow and expand. I hope this crack splits wide open.

To fit with the analogy I would rather the crack be fixed completely, seeing as innocent lives are usually the first to go when such a dam breaks.

That is a good point, if anyone runs its either going to get brutal or bloody in short order. Democratic favor has been on a sharp decline ever since the governor switched.. its a weird day for them at this point.
