The adoption ban was a response to sanctions placed on Russia for human rights violations. It's not about adoption but drilling and investments. You do know that, don't you?

But it's even more serious than that, because the financial rights are currently specifically banning high Russian officials and oligarchy!

Jr. is trying to portray Magnitsky as an "adoption ban", but the reality is it's a financial and physical ban on Russian officials. The "adoption ban" was Putin's reaction to the Congress' and Obama's legislative reaction to the death of Magnitzky.

To the uninitiated, Trump Jr. couching this is an "adoption ban" looks rather innocuous on the surface. But the truth is he was meeting with a lawyer associated with Russian officials, representing Russian Officials in attempting to remove the sanctions against them. Officials who make-up the Russian government and oligarchy.

this is a great question & one that looks as if NO Trump supporters here are willing to address

VERY SAD to see the GOP supporting Russian 'commies' via Trump; offering aide & comfort to a known enemy of the US

The GOP is doing this for ONE REASON ....... they have a GOP POTUS in place

The GOP would rather have a Russian agent POTUS in The White House, a POTUS that chose money over country

Intent to have better relations with Russia, which, in 2012, Obama and Hillary were very much in favor of. Remember the infamous reset button?

Motive? A foreign policy victory that Obama did not achieve.

I am speaking about the issue at hand, you should try it.

I am having a hard time believing Democrats thinking any other politician would refuse to hear out the information. What happens with the information after that would be the issue.
