Lets say for a second it really is about support for southern heritage and that they truly feel that removing these statues of losers in the confederate war is somehow an attempt to erase history. Has it ever occurred to these klansmen that they only hurting their cause by dressing up as a racist group that committed terrorist acts in the past? Because it only proves the point of anyone who said the Confederate flag and civil war monuments are about racism when racists fly the Confederate flag and when racists protest the removal of Civil war figures.
 
Maybe they'll all kill each other. I would call that a win.

Exactly. I'm one of the folks here at DP that felt this was wrong, that it was an attemp to erase history, but I do see the other side, tax dollars being used to upkeep something that no one wants.


Now? Now I'm not gonna touch this with a 10 foot pole.

You link did not work.

What links to the story that I can find point out the following:

"Twenty-three people were arrested. It was not clear what they were charged with or whether those arrested were Klan supporters, counterprotesters or some from each group."

While I find the klan or anyone who dresses up to look like them repugnant, evidently both them and the counter protesters became violent. Peaceful protest or counter protest is one thing, committing violence is another. The counter protesters do not get a buy any more then the klan does when it comes to violence at a protest.

I agree and neither does "hands up don't shoot" "kill pigs" and trashing property and putting lives in danger.
The last prez emboldened the black racists, this one emboldens the stormfronters.

I agree that all sides need to work for the common good. And, no, the "last prrez" did not thing of the sort. That is a white racist shibboleth statement.

Don't know how to break this to you, but the KKK has already faded away. They hold a rally and 50 people show up.

One would hope the KKK would fade away.

On the other hand, what to do with the massive increase of violent alt-left groups that have replaced them?

Hell, the elected POS Mayor of New York is an open supporter of them, ignoring the assignation of a Black Female Police officer in order to address his friends trying to destroy Hamburg.

the kkk polluted my hometown for years. in the past couple decades, they've been forced to scurry back under their rocks, and it's been fun to watch.

Everytime liberals taunt us with their demographic predictions it makes me wonder if the white nationalists might have a valid point

Why should I want to allow white-hating minorities to become the majority in 20 or 50 or 100 years?

Why should any white person - other than the usual guilt ridden white liberal - want themselves or their children to be stepped on by the future majority?
