Conservatives revolt over talk of keeping ObamaCare tax

Yes, because the right-wing-nuts didn't want to be associated with anything that didn't help the top 1%.

Right, because their aren't any democrat 1 percenters that take advantage of current tax codes.

Only republicans are rich and greedy. That's funny.

Do you mean, "take advantage" or "follow the law"? If the law required these 1% Democrats you're ridiculing to pay higher taxes, most would gladly pay it an not cry like your selfish right-wing-nut stuck pig buddies.

Again they are ****ing up and not keeping their promises. Every other time before this and prior to Trump's election they voted for a full repeal. In fact that was part of the whole Tea Party movement. That's why they don't have Rand Paul onboard, and McConnell the beltway Republican is now talking about cooperating with the Dems.

I don't think they are going like what their constituents are going to do to them if these congressional mental midgets keep up their stupidity.

Dems didn't work with Reps on Obamacare.

You whine when the dems and the repubs work together and you whine when they do not work together

You know, the Democrats represent at least half of this country's population. Perhaps working them is the right thing to do?

And working with the Republicans would have been a good idea with ObamaCare.

Lol.....So who and what was responsible for the Democrat blood bath that occured over the last 3 election cycles ?

A thousand Democrat State legislator seats lost, 14 Democrat Governors lost, the House and the Senate majorities lost and finally the WH
Whats funny is the Left still hasnt figured out why it happened, and thats great news as far as Im concerned

It was probably all the relentless messaging about how all things democrat are the moral.equivalent to baby eating.

Now they won the whole thing and can't get out of their own way, and can't resist trying to run everything their sponsors have been paying for all these years and Trump is keeping everybody laser focused on the government and nobody like what the republicans are actually handing out.

Which is what they have always been selling. Its just that the "cars" are all lemons and everybody sees it.

A bunch of feel good platitudes that never could have worked for anybody but the sponsors I mentioned earlier. (Both sides have sponsors. Both have the same goals)

Trump is screwing you guys. It is vaguely possible he's trolling the right. His erratic and suspiscious behavior, coupled with the "resistance" is making it impossible for the right's spin doctors to put out the fires he starts AND keep their supporters distracted while they screw them on behalf of the folks who pay for campaigns, hire retired politicians, etc.

I don't know about being tired of winning, but I'm almost tired of popcorn.

And I LOVE popcorn!

Keep the circus going.

We all need to look real hard at the government the "job creators" bought for us.

So I hope trump lasts at least a year or two.

Gosh, it is almost like they were being obstructionist and deceitful, like most reasonable people were saying at the time.

Because McConnell isn't politically stupid. I can expand more on that later if you'd like, but it's lunch time.

**** that POS McConnell. He is alllllll talk. He was one of the biggest most bombastic assholes talking about how he was going to repeal and remove obamacare from root to limb or some similar bs. Now when it's time for the rubber to meet the road he's full of it. Just so full of it. Just like how much of a damn hypocrit he was when he threatened that the Dems better not obstruct the SCOTUS nominee. He's so despicable.

Nobody is kicking anyone off of anything, under the GOP proposal, if you like your doctor, you can keep him.

Sent from my SM-T800 using Tapatalk

...if you can afford it and what you can afford actually allows you to see him at a deductible you can also afford.

Finished that for you.

Gop constituents are telling their senators to not pull the plug on ACA, such as Sen. Moran of Kansas, originally from the very conservative western half of KS. He's one of the few GOPs brave enough to hold a town hall .

The only real difference between the two is care and feeding of the livestock (citizens).

I tend to vote democrat for the simple reason dem money tends to come from companies that depend on American paychecks. Like an auto insurance company would like us to be able to afford cars.

And I prefer their definition of freedom. Which is freedom to be who you are, live as you choose.

As opposed to simply free to live the way other people approve of.

Or else.

McConnell won the senate by using Obama, Reid and Pelosi as boogiemen cudgels dating to REDMAP 2010. Southern DEM Senators Hagan and Pryor stupidly disowned their own POTUS. Udall ran a terrible campaign in CO, as did Braley in IA. At least Landrieu stood by Obama, but lost to the bastardized LA jungle primary.

McConnell then destroyed Obama over Garland. McConnell triggered Reid and Obama to use the nuclear option by filibustering most of 2013. After threatening the nuclear option back in 2005 with Majority Leader and ethics challenged Frist.

For too long Democrats have underestimated McConnell and not challenged him, such as over the way he made Sen. Warren sit down. He remains the most dangerous GOP in America and must be made the face of 2018, along with Ryan and trump .

Dems didn't work with Reps on Obamacare.

It required Republican votes to pass. You're wrong. Remember when they dropped the public option? Remember when Obama specifically solicited ideas from Republican leaders?

The ACA gave every State the option of setting up their own Single payer system, it was the only way to opt out of the ACA. Vermont was the only State that tried, passing their Single payer inititiave into law in 2011.

If your'e for Single payer in the US, I highly suggest you look into why Vermont's singlepayer law was never inacted

Probably not.

Persuasive messaging only repeats what will.engender/reinforce the desired emotional response to the matter in question.

It also goes to great lengths to keep the parts that might undo those conditioned responses quiet.

I'm actually starting to see things from more conservative posters calling the left out for doing this, (which they are. Resist! Said they were going to)

But they're using dangerously specific terminology in my opinion. Won't take much googling for its targets to notice that's how the entire conservative mediasphere has been "communicating" with them for decades.

Might be a good time to invest in pitchforks and torches!

Heaven forbid that Republicans want to keep the tax on the top 1% that pays for Medicaid expansion and subsidies, so that middle class people can have affordable health insurance.

It was probably all the relentless messaging about how all things Democrat are the moral.equivalent to baby eating.

Nope, it was simply the consequences of Obama's and the Democrats agenda pure and simple, but as I said before, I'm psyched so many of his supporters have yet to figure that out. In the midterms Democrats had to pretend ObamaCare didnt exsist, had to avoid the economy, and Obama's curious ME foreign policy cluster ****s. All they had to run on was shallow and insulting identiy politics, pandering to idiots, and thats not going to win elections

Ill let you in on a secret, one of the most effective ways to grow the Conservative base is to inflict upon as many people as possible the consequences of the Progressive agenda. As it turns out, Liberalism has a self destruct mechanism built right into it

Now they won the whole thing and can't get out of their own way, and can't resist trying to run everything their sponsors have been paying for all these years and Trump is keeping everybody laser focused on the government and nobody like what the republicans are actually handing out.

If no one liked what the GOP was proposing they wouldn't be the majority right now. I'm sure there are people that oppose Trump and the GOPs agenda, but they're Obama supporters, so big effing deal

Which is what they have always been selling. Its just that the "cars" are all lemons and everybody sees it.

We were " sold " affordable healthcare ", but we were scammed by a President and a Democratic party who put their agenda and ideology over the American people. Obama's still defending that atrocity, what a selfish, narcsisitic prick

A bunch of feel good platitudes that never could have worked for anybody but the sponsors I mentioned earlier. (Both sides have sponsors. Both have the same goals)

You mean like " Hope and Change " ?? How's that working out for the Democratic party ??

Trump is screwing you guys. It is vaguely possible he's trolling the right.

No he's pissing off people that lack the emotional maturity to get over a election loss, and that's just funny ! Gorsuch is now a Supreme court justice and Trump will get at least one more pick before 2020. He's not trolling the Right, he's trolling a bunch of perennial butthurt Hillary supporters, and a media who just happens to be in self destruct mode.

I don't know about being tired of winning, but I'm almost tired of popcorn.

:lamo :lamo :lamo

Your'e tired of winning ? Your'e very very confused

Since 2010 the Democrats have lost over 1000 State Legislator seats, 14 Governor races, the House majority, the Senate majority, the White House and now are 0 - 5 in special elections since Trumps inaugeration.

States historically run by Democrats ( into the ground ) are bankrupt. Illinois and California are bleeding their tax base and jobs as their businesses and tax payers move away from these bankrupt sewers into Red States like Texas, which continues to add onto to its multi-billion dollar surplus.

California lost 9,000 business HQs and expansions, mostly to Texas, 7-year study says
https://www.bizjournals.com/dallas/blog/morning_call/2015/11/california-lost-9-000-business-hqs-and-expansions.html

Media outlets like CNN and MSNBC are in self destruct mode while Trump trolls them into making one idiotic decision after another. Great Job CNN, threatening to dox a private citizen :lamo

WE are winning, have been for some time and it feels pretty damn good

Looks like we still have some establishments that need removal.

The problem is you cannot hold a majority when you push too far to the right to hold moderates. This is not Russia. I support your efforts, only because I know they are doomed to failure.

No argument here. But despite all that, you cannot deny he's politically savvy. And he's doing what's in his best political interest, even if it's not in the country's best interest.

They should keep the investment tax.

My husband and I would rather our investment tax help low income people have healthcare.

The low income come people need healthcare more than we need that 3.8 percent tax break.

What do you think they campaigned and got elected on, supporting Obamacare? Um, no...

Are you talking about the same voters who hated Obamacare but liked the Affordable Care Act?

How about Democrats working with Republicans? Everyone who liked your post want nothing but doing things the Democratic way. Schumer says some crap about wanting a bipartisan deal on healthcare but what parts of the Republican plans is he willing to accept? None. He has already stated it is his way or the highway. What about ending the resistance?

Of course there is no way to know if your family actually has to pay this tax. Only applies to families with incomes over $250K AGI.

It always surprises me to learn that most folks on this site fall into this category.

GOP legilsative victories in the last 5 months ?
How long did it take the Democrats to push through Healthcare reform ?

Longer than 5 months ? Longer than a year ? Yup, 14 months.

The GOP has spent 7 years trying to repeal the AHC and in all that time they never had anything better? This was all to make our HC system worse? Apparently so. SAD
