Trump under investigation for obstruction of justice: report

DCUKAUbW0AE8HgI.jpg

Well, back in January Trump wasn't under investigation, as per Comey, but now he is.

In any case, his administration is looking like they have lots of things to hide -- based upon their refusal to answer legitimate questions by U.S. Senators during hearings.

And you'd think they'd learn. Nixon wasn't in trouble because of the Watergate break-in, it was the cover-up. Clinton didn't get in trouble for a blow job, it was lying about it.

John Oliver calls this stupid Watergate.

Three threads on this same topic, one answer for them all:

The only evidence this occurred is the statement of Mr. Comey, and his "memo's."

Trump has denied the Flynn comment. Trump says he did not ask Comey to end investigation - CNNPolitics.com

They were the only two people present. Mr. Trump and Mr. Comey.

Currently there is no evidence that either conversation was "taped." Secret Service says it has no tapes, recordings of Trump conversations in White House - CBS News

The burden of proof in a criminal investigation is on the accuser, not the accused.

When it is one person's word against another, and no "legal evidence" one of the parties has lied under oath, then the defendant "wins."

The "memos" do not matter. They remain one person's written perceptions of a conversation, and are neither telling, nor dispositive evidence.

IMO, Mueller will end up clearing Trump of this allegation too. :coffeepap:

Four threads would be good. Five would be better. Six or more would be outstanding. Probably could get one going in the Food Forum as well. It is, after all, food for thought.

It's extremely suspicious that multiple people in the Trump admin. mysteriously forget when filling out paperwork for security clearances, that they ever had meetings with the Russians. "Oh, right? THAT meeting. Yeah, I do not recall that."

I'll bet John McCain is all foot stompin' giddy about this development

but wait ... didn't Comey tell Trump that he was not under investigation several times?????? So how in all that is holy and good is this even possible???

... okay - thats me being a smartass. But this is ooooohhhhh so sweet!!!!!! ;):lamo

ps. -- what a great birthday present to Trump.

Term limits...and mental health standards. Congress needs both, and Johnny Mac is the poster child why.

Heheh!
Strom Thurmond for the 21st. century.
I'd have an age limit. Term limits sounds like taking a choice away from the voters but, exceptions like somebody's uncle Chuck who ran marathons and taught university-level mathematics into his late seventies aside, nobody that old should be in government.

Trump needs to seriously grab (a lot of) ***** & divert attention from his obstruction dingus ............ grabbing ***** will get better headlines ..........

The Democrats are going to keep beating this dead horse until it gets up, and kicks their faces in. I for one am ready to see that kind of story on the morning news.

We are getting a microscopic look at what Washington has become. America is falling ever so quickly in to a ditch we may never get out of. China rises all over the world and we a the laughing stock of the world. 16 years at war, can anyone justify this? I want to see if Trump reels it in per the advice of someone, anyone in the White House. There's a quote somewhere that includes something like "good God they're shooting at us". What's next?

more so when the person in question stated that there was no obstruction done.

Trump under investigation for obstruction of justice: report | TheHill

The special counsel appointed to investigate possible collusion between the Trump campaign and Russia is now looking into whether President Trump sought to obstruct justice, The Washington Post reported.

No further comment.

Lol....this is thread #3 ?

Good to know you people have abandoned the collusiom conspiracy nuttery and moved ont this nonsense.

Sure, months of investigations and millions upon millions of tax dollars spent on a red herring issue, and countless lies to the American people but now, now this is serious....Lol

If the obstruction angle was such a sure thing why even bother with collusion conspiracy theories ?

This is partisan desperation from millions of people who lack the emotional maturity to accept the results of a election.

The collusion gambit hasn't worked out so well, so it's time to move the goalposts.

So far as I can tell, it's working out quite well.

The investigations proceed, several of the prominent players have been caught lying, under oath, about their contacts with the Russians and one of them has publicly requested immunity.

All sorts of things tie into that, including potential financial crimes, but no goalposts are being moved.

Actually I think my thread was first.

The desperate partisans here are the Trump worshippers who continue to deny and live in their little world of Kelly Anne's alternative facts.

Obviously, Mueller thinks it's worth looking into. That is a fact. A real fact, not an alternative one.

Sorry, I know you were hoping for 8 more years of Benghazi hearings

Mueller apparently thinks it's worth looking into. Is Mueller a desperate partisan, or is it possible that the facts are leading him in a direction.

The DNC is ordering their minions to bring everything back to "The Russians!!!" and distract everyone from the fact that a liberal tried to assassinate a group of Republicans. This is the third or fourth thread started on this forum making an announcement of the Special Prosecutor Team after the assassination attempt.

Mueller thought collusion was worth looking into to, so did Comey and 5 Congressional comittees

So did CNN and MSNBC who ran the collusion lunacy 24/7 dedicating panels filled with hacks who sat there and predicted Trumps eventual impeachment

Now all of the sudden....Ooops, sorry guys we're going to move onto obstruction because we're reeeaaally angry Hillary Clinton lost
