Trump under investigation for obstruction of justice: report

You'd be wrong. But even if you were right, it doesn't matter to the question.

Bye, now.

Then I guess you'll never know the answer to your question. Oh well.

The DNC is ordering their minions to bring everything back to "The Russians!!!" and distract everyone from the fact that a liberal tried to assassinate a group of Republicans. This is the third or fourth thread started on this forum making an announcement of the Special Prosecutor Team after the assassination attempt.
Let me just quote Alex Jones, of InfoWars, who said this when Rep. Gabby Gifford was shot in 2011 by a right-wing loony:
“Dissent is the highest form of patriotism, and any move to imply that asking questions of public officials or engaging in criticism of government is somehow suspicious or indicative of a violent individual is a damning indictment of everything America is supposed to stand for.”

Four threads would be good. Five would be better. Six or more would be outstanding. Probably could get one going in the Food Forum as well. It is, after all, food for thought.

Was Trump holding a bagel or a donut when he supposedly told Comey to drop the investigation if he wanted to keep his job? This is important. Let's take a vote; bagel or donut?

I wonder if anyone in this thread actually knows what the elements of obstruction of justice are under the US Code, and if they can construct a credible case for it from the fact pattern in question. This, I would be quite curious to see.

That's for Mueller to say, wouldn't you think?

My curiosity as to what people HERE know and can do has nothing to do with Mueller, no.

1. Alex Jones is a scumbag. I'm not surprised that liberals turn to him to get talking points.

2. There is a difference between dissent, and calling for the assassination of the president, blocking traffic on public roads, or saying that Trump and co need to be "destroyed".

Liberals don't turn to Alex Jones to get talking points. Jones was defending the right-wing shooter of Gabby Giffords in 2011. I posted that quote for irony. The same irony can be found from Newt Gingrich, who denounced yesterday's shooting and blamed liberals, as you did. But in 2011, Gingrich was deflecting the conservative link if Giffords' shooter.

The reality is that there are deranged people of opposite political views in a country of 320 million and blaming the acts of violence on the news that they chose to watch is lunacy. Millions of people watch Rachel Maddow, who is a pacifist, and don't run to shoot Republican legislators.

The bolded has been bandied about, mis-attributed, and mis-applied ad nauseum. But I still like it. If not etymologically attributed to the founders, it very much strikes me as something they'd say.

And dissent moves the democratic process forward. There's good reason it is the very first Amendment!

I wasn't around for the Gabby Giffords assassination attempt but I decried the ramped up language coming from conservatives and I took particular umbrage with Palin's map that showed, what looked to me and many people to be targets on a gun scope.

There difference that I can see is that the shooting of Gabby Giffords actually shooting a politicians back then. James T. Hodgkinson Facebook feed was receiving "LIKES" for his comments about destroying Republicans and more than a few liberals have commented in support of the attempted murder. That's the difference.
