Comey Associate Says He Turned over Memos to the FBI

Government work was discussed, Comey didn't take the memo as a private citizen, he took at a government employee.

Quit crapping out straw men. Someone in this thread asked, I answered and you have been playing bull**** semantics ever since. Comey isn't in trouble for the memo, which you have implied repeatedly and I have never argued. He is in trouble for leaking it. It is about his work, it is a work product, it does not belong to him, he attempted to keep it out of disclosure to the AG, the President, the IG for the FBI and Congressional oversight.

It's been three weeks since Comey testified under oath in the Senate chamber and before 20 million television viewers.

The release of the memo would only be a crime if it contained classified information. Comey testified, while under oath, that the memo in question did not contain any classified information. And he said that was not by accident. "My thinking was if I write in such a way that I don’t include anything that’ll trigger a classification, that will make it easier to discuss within FBI and government." Congress and the U.S. Supreme Court have both given protections to government employees who leak non-classified information in the general interest of the country. Comey said that’s exactly what he did since he was disturbed by Trump’s behavior.

Comey has not been arrested, nor will he be arrested, because his memo does not contain classified information. No law was broken and no USAG would prosecute Mr. Comey regarding the memo release.

LOL, you learned nothing from the HRC scandals, just because no one would charge them doesn't mean the law wasn't broken.

The standards are not GOP/Dem. Try to think outside the 2 party paradigm. There are laws for you and me and laws for those in DC, haven't you learned that yet?
