Ex-GOP congressman: Ryan would look into impeachment if a Democratic president acted like Trump

Former South Carolina Rep. Bob Inglis fired off a series of tweets Friday challenging a claim by House Speaker Paul Ryan that Republicans wouldn’t try to impeach a Democratic president accused of the same actions as President Trump.

Inglis, who served on the House judiciary committee that impeached former President Bill Clinton, wrote to Ryan: “You know that you would be inquiring into impeachment if this were a D.”​

Absolutely. And then would probably start yet another Benghazi/email hearing just for ****s and giggles.

Not to mention the people HERE who are salivating for impeachment now, who would be balking at the idea in that case. And vice-versa, of course.

Duh. And all the Dems looking to impeach Trump would be defending a Dem Pres. It's all about the Party Allegiance and the Republocrat puppet show.

There are definitely plenty of partisans here, but not all the people who want Trump gone are partisans. A good, though not perfect, way to test their partisanship is to check how they handled the Hillary investigations. There are enough parallels in the two investigations to check how consistent they are.

What if I want Trump gone because he presents a clear and present danger to the security of the United States, is that partisan?

Not in and of itself, especially since we have had conservatives and Republicans say similar things about Trump.

What people on the left want more than Trump gone is a stalling of his agenda, because they know they don't have a snowballs chance in hell of getting the White House or congress back if the economy gets moving again. Just reducing regulation alone is worth billions, deporting illegals are jobs American on social entitlements can be working on and paying taxes.

The democrats can only hope they can crater the economy and blame it on Trump. That's all they got.

GOP house loons on record saying they had enough material to investigate 'a President Clinton' for two years BEFORE the election.

That GOPs would begin impeaching Clinton immediately. Google 'Chaffetz impeachment Clinton' and enjoy .

Standing for nothing and blaming/slamming both parties as partisans is the 3rd way regressivism of libertarians, berniebrats and political neophytes who didn't bother to vote the last four cycles .

GOPs haven't had that problem the last four cycles. They are the epitome of your name, as we see daily.

Purity left-wing regressives would rather fight against those they agree with on the issues, versus taking on the big bad GOPs.

The CA jungle primary in issa's cd is a perfect example of DEMs blowing a golden opportunity and it's happening nationwide .
