I wouldn't doubt it if Trump lied about asking Comey if he could let General Flynn have a pass. No big deal really. Bill Clinton lied UNDER OATH and nothing happened to him aside from his reputation being forever ruined. And his live in wife Hillary, lied about just about every illegal encounter she's ever been caught in - and she ALMOST got elected POTUS.

CNN are reporting the House is asking for the tapes by the 23 June, the guys ego is so thin, a Russian Investigation was to much dissent for the Narcisstic in Chief. He ego is so fragile, it cannot with stand dissent, he is under siege, only appears at Luv Trump rallys, or to diss someone. In the end, his tweets will be his downfall, not some fictional tapes Donny is playing us for.

Well Trump is grandstanding a VOLUNTARY appearance before the committee. There is BI-PARTISAN support for investigating Trump. Trump's cabinet members, past and present have contacts with Russian agents they conveniently forgot. Trump's SiL had contact with a Russian banker he termed political, the Russian called private business dealing.

I think the Senate can do their business without Trump, look how 'well' they did with Obama's birth certificate... Well Trump and Arpiro did an OUTstanding job as well... :roll:

But don't get all moist thinking other Presidents are going to be as impulsive as Trump (though be truthful, you REALLY think the Bluffer in Chief is going to answer to a bunch of 'mere' Senators???) :peace
 
He may well testify under oath but it won't be anytime soon. Dreeben just came on board with the SC investigation.

They'll save 45 for the end.

What was I thinking! Now I see the light! How could anyone vote for Trump, when the shining beacon of truth and integrity was right there in Hillary Clinton! I can't believe it! Well, I promise that if Trump runs against Hillary again I'll be sure to do a proper analysis next time!

It seems impossible to imagine how this could work out well for Trump. Even if he were to somehow avoid perjuring himself, the optics alone would be disastrous due to how the questioning would unfold. To avoid answering difficult, embarrassing or downright self-implicating questions, the number of times he would invoke Executive Privilege, 5th amendment or claiming the answer is classified would make him look awful. And this is all assuming he doesn't even commit perjury, which everybody expects he will.

He's been "thrilled" to do a lot of things in the past, such as moving his factories from Bangladesh to New York, or publicizing his tax returns, so I really don't see this happening, certainly not of his own accord.

He's not in campaign mode now and he doesn't seem to get that. His lies now are really going to hurt him. He has not been vindicated.

The problem I'm having with this story is the two enemies have bogged now on inconsequential details when the real issues is the Russians stole your election, and no one cares.

The great winner of all this is Vladamir Putin, who is laughing his as off as is the rest of the world. Your core piece of the great American constitution has been shat by an historical enemy....and you're all arguing whether it was right for Comey to take notes.

Amazing, making America Great Again means corrupting an election, casting extreme doubt on the system itself, and the sheep quibble about inconsequential details.

I am sorry, I have never read in history a nation that became great by constantly arguing over an unpredictable child-president or leader
