Transgender Athlete Beats Girls, Would Come Last Vs. Boys | The Daily Caller

A transgender high school athlete beat girls in the Connecticut track state championship Tuesday, but his time would have placed him last in the boys’ race.

Andraya Yearwood, a freshman at Cromwell High School, placed first in the girls’ 100-meter and 200-meter dash finals against girls from other schools in the region, according to Turtleboy Sports. But his time would have earned him last place in both boys’ competitions.

Perhaps we should just have one team for each sport, and the best players make the team. That's fair, right? Just blow girls sports up for good?

Have you ever watched American Ninja Warriors?? The women who compete do so in direct competition with the men with no benefits. The other night Steffi Graf was the only finisher in her heat against two men who both failed to complete the course. Of course she's the only woman out of 18 competitors.

Now we've had a dude win the Texas state girls wrestling championship, and a dude win the sprint events in the Connecticut girls track championships.

Imagine if LeBron James had identified as female. He'd be averaging 140 points per game in the WNBA.

If you haven't been on a monitored HRT program for at least 2 years, you shouldn't be competing. Sorry ladies, but we have a responsibility to transition the right way, not abuse it, this is abuse IMHO.

I hope you realise that the boy who won the championship, had wanted to go and wrestle with the boys, but was not allowed to do so because of the regulations.

The Texas wrestling one was a whole different story. The person who won that was born a female and transitioned to male. He wanted to wrestle in the men's division but the state of Texas uses your birth certificate to determine which gender you wrestle against. Texas wouldn't let him wrestle against men.

I can see it now..... all across the great country of the USofA thousands upon thousands of boys all rushing to their family doctors demanding to begin hormone treatment so that they can dominate the world in female sports competitions.

It's a win-win for them. They'll get breasts to play with anytime they wish, and trophies to show off to their friends.

It'll be an epidemic of titties and trophies.

Renae, do you think that is enough? I'm no expert on the matter but it seems to me that unless you transitioned before puberty, which would be ethically problematic in itself, a transwoman is still going to have some unfair advantages over ciswomen. Bone density and lung capacity, for example.

I'm a strong advocate of transrights in every other aspect of life but I can't help but temper that advocacy when it comes to certain competitive sports. Hell, I'm even unsure about transmen competing against cismen. It seems the testosterone that transmen take could give them an advantage over some of the other men they compete against.

Thats the LPGA requirement. I use that as a bare minimum. Trust me when I say the muscle loss is quite apparent after two years.
 
Anecdotal, but my dad told me once that he wanted a sex change so he could compete in the Women's PGA tour.
 
The girls should have refused to compete against him.

I know, but she had been on an intensive steroid program for her transition, which basically gave her a guy's strength. It was completely unfair.

A man can't go to a women-only showing of Wonder Woman, but he can compete in a women's track meet. Makes sense.

There are 74 different genders. There are people that claim trans specist status. Trans racial individuals, Trans abled individuals. Some guy just married his dead boyfriend. Some chick just married a train station.

The world makes no sense.
