“I thought it was unusual for the President of the United States to go to Saudi Arabia first. Saudi Arabia!” Pelosi said.
“It wasn’t even alphabetical. I mean, Saudi Arabia.”

The Democrat leader contrasted Trump’s visit with George W. Bush first visiting Mexico, and Ronald Reagan, George H.W. Bush, Bill Clinton and Barack Obama visiting Canada first.

“Our friends and neighbors,” she said. “What was the decision-making process to go to Saudi Arabia first? That is a question that I have,” she said.

It was a bad joke, obviously. The point is clear - why make Saudi Arabia his first visit? I don't think it's a big deal, but it is a bit curious, although doesn't crack the top 500 things I'm worried about at the moment. Just for example, giving an audience to Erdogan after his jack booted thugs beat up peaceful protesters IN THE U.S. is a bigger deal on the foreign policy front.

And of course Pelosi pointedly refused to criticize Trump in that answer, but you didn't mention that to focus on the trivial.

Your first response should probably be to read past the clickbait headline and discover that she actually did not complain about not visiting the countries in alphabetical order. She did complain about the order of countries Trump visited, and did throw in an offhand sarcastic comment about them not even being alphabetical, but she did not complain that he was "not visiting countries in alphabetical order". Some people will believe anything, and those are usually people who think they are well informed...

Yeah, all the crap about how she won't criticize Trump was the lead-in to her criticizing him for making Saudi Arabia his first stop. I guess she couldn't help herself.

The alphabetical part was a joke. She's bad at jokes.

The actual point she was making was that going to Saudi Arabia first was a strange choice, that Canada and Mexico, being closer allies and neighbors, made more sense as previous presidents have done. She questioned why Saudi Arabia? Why them first?
