President Trump Shoves A NATO Leader Out Of The Way To Move To The Front Of The Group

Re: President Trump Shoves A NATO Leader Out Of The Way To Move To The Front Of The G

It's an instant reaction, hard to fake those. As we can see from Trump meeting many other world leaders and getting the stink eye. I'm not defending Trump, I'm just saying it's not that big a deal considering things like Trump's age and the personal space etiquette of Montenegro.

Now if he had done it to the Japanese Prime Minister, that would have been very insulting.

Look, I'm not trying to be a wise ass, but what do you know about the "personal space etiquette of Montenegro?"

LOL, I really am not trying to make a big deal out of this, but to think Trump actually KNEW that people in Montenegro don't value personal space like we do AND took that into account here is pretty incredible. I'd put the odds as approaching zero on both notions...

Re: President Trump Shoves A NATO Leader Out Of The Way To Move To The Front Of The G

If you watch carefully you'll see Markovic's right hand inside Trump's left arm as they pass. That's a dead giveaway that Markovic was just protecting his wallet from Trump who was trying to pick it.

Somebody really should get Interpol to start investigating this crap!

Greetings, Lutherf. :2wave:

I'll make a wager with you that before this story fades away, at least a half-dozen people will swear in interviews that they saw him do it, and they will all agree he should be impeached for such a dastardly deed, even though the currency in the wallet wasn't worth much in international trade! :lamo

Re: President Trump Shoves A NATO Leader Out Of The Way To Move To The Front Of The G

Johnson pulled out his Johnson? Which Johnson?

No matter; more & more as each passing day goes by Trump continually demonstrates he is a complete & utter asshole ...........

He named it Jumbo...

LBJ Was Obsessed With His Dick

Re: President Trump Shoves A NATO Leader Out Of The Way To Move To The Front Of The G

He wanted to be the first to grab the woman's ***** and had to get to the front of the pack.

Re: President Trump Shoves A NATO Leader Out Of The Way To Move To The Front Of The G

It's common for the elderly generation to get physical when they are trying to be buddy-buddy. Get in close move you to the side and put their arm around you. That kind of thing.

While the Prime Minister appears shocked as it happens, he smiles when he sees it is Trump. Giving me the impression Trump did it in a buddy buddy way.

Needless to say, he could have taken it another way. Trump shouldn't have risked being overly familiar, but that is just the way Trump is, for better or worse. And it could be worse, Johnson used to pull his dick out and waive it around. Which is something I wouldn't put past Trump, although I doubt he has the heat Johnson packed.
Or, he thought, " Oh, it's that guy. Figures."

President Trump Shoves A NATO Leader Out Of The Way To Move To The Front Of The Group

US President Donald Trump was caught on camera pushing Montenegrin Prime Minister Dusko Markovic out of the way at the NATO summit in Brussels.

Wow; this is about as low class hillbilly as it gets. Trump is a complete asshole ............

I bet Don Cheeto will blame this one on the out of control media
Kinda reminds me of Nancy Reagan.

But in this case I'm sure he was just administering the Heimlich Maneuver and saving the guy's life.

Re: President Trump Shoves A NATO Leader Out Of The Way To Move To The Front Of The G

More and more he resembles film I have seen of Mussolini....

So is Trump also a socialist?

He probably didn't know that about Montenegro, which is why I don't think he should be overly familiar with people on the world stage. Because he could offend the next guy.

But more to the point, Trump is an old guy, old guys do this kind of thing. Especially old guys in the world of business. They think personal contact establishes immediate trust and endears the person to you. And they always do it in a dominant way. They think that puts you in a mindset of deferral. They even welcome a bit of pushback, so they can smile and play as if it's just a bit of roughhousing.

What I see Trump doing in that video is being an older businessman inserting himself into group and getting ready to ask for something. And a Prime Minister from a place with lax etiquette on personal space not being offended.

Mussolini is literally the founder of fascism.

Re: President Trump Shoves A NATO Leader Out Of The Way To Move To The Front Of The G

yeah, that's totally made up. Trump is gritting his teeth as he shoves him aside, then doesn't even look the guy in the face after he gets by him - totally ignores him. Then the jutted chin, adjust the coat.... That's impossible to mistake for a "buddy buddy" move.

Not a big deal but it's pretty embarrassing. Makes him look like an insecure bully to me. Got to be up front!

The people elected to office represent their electorate. Between Trump and the guy in Montana body slamming a reporter, these politicians are a reflection of the level of class, character, dignity, and integrity of the American people to the world.

Yes, this is the way to make America great again and respected all over the world!

I travel, I look up travel etiquette before I go places. Europeans in general don't have the same concept of personal space as we do. Trump could have literally walked up and kissed the man three times, and not offended him.

Men in India walk together with joined pinkies. The world is different, I pay attention to that.

When you look closely it appears he is making nice with Markova, sort of giving him a hug, but in reality he is making a move to get in the front of the group. His smile quickly turns into a smug ego move.

I did read your links. I don't find anything like what was portrayed on the clip. We have been fortunate to travel the last ten years and usually favor Western Europe, so I am aware of some cultural differences. I am steeling for an up coming trip next month and having to field political queries as to why and what were you people thinking?

You realize that Mussolini was a socialist, right? Tell me, where did he work as a young man? What party was he a member of? What views did he change when he moved towards the views he would have until the end of his life? You might not know this, but Mussolini was a socialist until the day he died.

Are you angling for 'Chief of Protocol?" It's not a cabinet grade position.

This was our mentally ill bully boy personifying before the world the idea of THE UGLY AMERICAN. And Republicans and deluded people on the right will stand with him and pat him on the back for being a strong leader.

"Usually, personal space isn’t highly regarded. People often hug and tap each other on the shoulder or touch lightly while conversing."

Culture Crossing

The actual shove, is not a shove. He's placed his hand on the Prime Minister's shoulder and is applying pressure to guide his body. The Prime Minister's feet doesn't move, and he offers no resistance. He only moves his body far enough to allow Trump to move forward. Then he places his arm under Trumps in a half hug, notice Trump lowers his other arm behind the Prime Minister and then rolls his shoulder to get by him as the Prime Minister pulls his arm out of the hug, which tells me he was doing the dominant tap of a business man inserting himself. And not a "Shove".

This is how I saw it too. It looked like Trump was just being friendly with him and the other person didn't seem offended in the least. It also looks like Trump's left arm is around the side of the other man, which supports the theory he was just being buddy/buddy with him.

There are many things which this President does which I feel is an embarrassment to this country. But I don't believe this is one of them. I think this is just him trying to be friendly.

Re: President Trump Shoves A NATO Leader Out Of The Way To Move To The Front Of The G

Video in the OP, I'm just speaking from experience. Old guys do that to me all the time. Plus the guy is from Montenegro, where they don't really worry much about personal space.

While I don't think the world stage is a place to be overly familiar, I don't see this as something that would offend the people of Montenegro.

My first reaction is OMG I cannot believe I just read a defense of this ugly action but then I have been here for the last four months of the trump travesty and now its just more of the same old right wing crap.

Jeffrey Lord on CNN the other night was chastised by moderator Anderson Cooper in disgust that he would defend Trump if he took a dump on the table in public. And he was right.

And it applies to many across the nation.

Non-stories can detract and distract from issues, and his supporters can look to everyone getting upset over this small crap as evidence that the media and liberals are just out to hang him dry. And use that "evidence" to ignore actual problems as liberal media doing another hit piece.

In other words, I'm establishing credibility with his supporters for when he messes up royally again.

You don't read alot of my posts I take it. I hate Trump. From day one I hated him. And I regularly get in trouble here for trolling his supporters. I'm taking a different direction on this one is all.

Sorry if I misjudged you.

And you are wrong on this one.

To be brutally honest, I have had it with the mental derangement of many Trump apologists and have not one ounce of any more tolerance or patience for it.
