Yeah, but we shouldn't go all old-man-fist-shake about DURN KIDS THESE DAYS at every wackjob-ass thing we come across on the internet. The internet gives us a false impression of the size of a lot of issues, and being a relatively new phenomenon this gives us a false impression of a change in society.
There were always dumbass college kids asking for weird things, there were always flat-earthers, there were always people who thought the government was listening to their thoughts, there were always literal nazis living in the United States. There aren't more of these people now than there were 20 years ago. They just got a bigger megaphone.
