Trump wants a shutdown in September. No respect for the legislative process.

You know you've got issues when you have the majority in both the House and the Senate, and you still want to shut down the government.

P.S. What does a "good" Shutdown look like?

I had to check to see if this one is for real.

OMG! it is!

Now, how are his followers going to blame the Congressional Democrats, Hillary Clinton, or Barack Obama if he actually follows through and causes a government shutdown?

That's the first time I've ever seen a Trump tweet that looks like drunken posting! I'd like to party with that guy!

Hey for the low, low price of $200,000.00 you can join Mar O Lago and at least look at the guy. :2razz:

Why would anyone blame the DNC, HILLARY, OR OBAMA??? That doesn't make any sense? You're projecting. Trump would be well within his rights to veto the bill. But he's referring to a bill in SEPTEMBER, not this bill which is taking place in May. Again, you're projecting or perhaps having difficulty keeping track of which month you're in.

Actually its democrats who want to shut down the government

But paul ryan will do everything he can to make trump do it instead of chuck schumer

The Republican party: They believe government doesn't work so they elect people to prove it.

I think by September, Trump expects Ryan to be gone and a more effective Speaker in place.

The problem with government shut downs, in regardless of the reason, the MSM blames the republicans.

But on the bright side, the Republicans can now campaign in democrat districts with the "you have no jobs because you have no wall" theme, not to mention the dysfunction democrat poster child: bailing out Puerto Rico's welfare system, and putting off de-funding sanctuary cities. Things much of America sides with Trump on.

He thought he was elected king.

RINO's like paul ryan would gladely fund governmet and abortion, and socialized medicine, and leftist public radio and defund the military if theiir conserevative base would allow them.

Ryan is on easy street with a private jet and all the other perks that along with establishment power in washington.

Just show him how to get rid of the people who elected him and he'll make you a grand flunky that you can be proud of

Ryan will not be gone and trump will have a more difficult time of enacting his agenda than he has now.

Heres a happy alternative. Forget about a budget. Just allow the government to continue to be irresponsible, to spend without any consideration of what it will do to future generations and just spend that money like its going out of style. **** budgets. **** fiscal accountability and responsibility. Heres the cool part. We can do that for probably a good 15-25 years and at that point, a lot of us doing the spending will be either retired or dead and the responsibility for continued fiscally irresponsible government will land on todays youth and you know what? **** them too.

Right? Because thats what you all are saying.

Then Trump must be a democrat, because he's advocating for shutting down the government.

But paul ryan will do everything he can to make trump do it instead of chuck schumer

Because that sounds like a logical thing to do.

"Let's shut down the government before Schumer does, 'cause reasons!"

he would need 60 republicans in the senate to win. he isn't going to get that.
while shutting down the government isn't great it isn't this bad thing that people think it is.

I don't know who else there would be beside ryan. I would have hoped he would have done
something more than the Boehner disaster but he seems to be in the same pit that he was.

It happened five times during the Carter Administration. Pretty good for one term.

Its not my tweet so I don't know what trump is saying.

Republicans in congress are using the democrat threat of a fillibuster and government shutdown as their excuse for not funding the trump agenda.

BUT I blame paul ryan not trump

The problem trump and the republicans have is that their legislative agenda was dependent on passing health care reform and and their tax reform plans based on the budget reconciliation process, which would only need 51 republican votes to accomplish.

that will have to wait till September now. for the tax thing that is bad if you ask me. that needs to be dealt with sooner rather than later.

Ryan made no serious effort to pass healthcare reform because he does not want trump to succeed.

The Republican party: They believe government doesn't work so they elect people to prove it.

I think I have to agree with that completely. Congressional republicans voted a hundred times to repeal Obamacare, but as soon as they get a president who would actually sign what they pass, they are unable to come up with a bill. So there are really two truths here: 1) Republicans, despite their bluster to the contrary, never do anything to actually reduce the size or scope of the welfare state when given the power to do so, and 2) Democrat hatred of republicans and fear of what they would do if given power are way overblown to the point of being nonsensical.

The democrats will threaten a fillibuster in september just like they did in april.

Sooner or later ryan is going to have to grow a set of balls

Well in that case blame the republicans who still determined to pass their health care reform bill first, because in their plan the tax reform bill is dependent on the money saved through the health care reform.
