Lincoln's actions were definitely unconstitutional. But back then the Constitution was a much more unethical document so... meh.

You are the one who made the statement which excuses what the NC Congressman said, via carrying his water and attacking Lincoln, not me, and I even offered to apologize if you were actually condemning that congressman. The topic isn't whether or not Lincoln was evil, but about a congressman who implied he was as evil as Hitler. Instead, you have chosen to double down down on ignoring what the congressman said by attempting to flame bait me. I've been baited by much better people than you. You really aren't very good at it. Good luck with your attempt to flame bait the next member.

These Hitler comparisons are getting stale, banal and really rancid. I suppose when a new Hitler emerges, no one will notice.

Lincoln was a liberal. At a time when Democrats were conservatives. Then Republicans got conservative, and Democrats got liberal. Eventually speaking, the Dems are more the party of Lincoln than the Reps. Teddy Roosevelt was a liberal, no bout adoubt it. The trust buster. This madman Trump. Now there is the party of the GOP. And the party of Putin. And the party of Bill O'. And the party of female genitalia grabbers. Line up and sign up.
