Social media users question Spicer calling concentration camps 'Holocaust centers'

Re: Social media users question Spicer calling concentration camps 'Holocaust centers

Yeah, this-------------------------------^

It was absolutely a disaster for Spicer. There isn't a polite way to put this. I saw Spicer being interviewed by Wolf Blitzer in my hotel bar on my way out to dinner tonight. I was able to see the closed caption of what they were saying very briefly, and it was something to the effect of "Uh, I went off script. I went way off script and this was a big booboo on my part." At least he seems contrite.

I think Spicer needs a little lesson in history.

I watched the interview with Wolf with sound, and Spicer was completely contrite. He admitted that he had made one of the most inappropriate and offensive statements that could ever be made, and for that he apologized profusely... over and over again.

Wolf made the point to hammer it in while he was talking to Spicer, but immediately gave him credit for being a big enough person to admit openly not only that he had screwed up, but that he had screwed up to that level. I was actually impressed with both men during and after that interview.

TIL Zyklon B isn't a chemical weapon.

Spicer is playing 4D chess with the media by Godwin'ing himself.

Right On!

LOL - Destroying your own credibility by demonstrating that you are a moron is a classic kill-move in 10-D Future Chess, you cucks! WOOOOOOH! MAGA!!!!

Not a Wolf fan but he was superb when he schooled Spice-Boy on who the leader of Syria is. Now if he'd only let Spicer know that the Australian is Turnball and not Trumball.

Why is this even an issue?

You trying to give Shouty Spice a run for his money?

I'm saying it's just a dumb comment. People make dumb comments all the time and it's not a big deal.

The anti-Trumpers become more desperate by the day.

Are you saying Spicer is actually totally correct and that no chemical weapons were used by Hitler? Can you explain why we should just let blatantly false statements go completely unchecked? You Trump supporters don't seem to put much value on truth or facts.

Jesus loved the poor, the downtrodden, the helpless and the hopeless. Trump Loves the uneducated.

Re: Social media users question Spicer calling concentration camps 'Holocaust centers

A weird name to call it, and politically a stupid term to use, but "wut" it is or it meant isn't hard to fathom. It would "sound" like a place where a particular thing is concentrated (ie center), with that "thing" being slaughter on a mass scale (ie holocaust). Because language and definitions are things.

This is what makes me laugh (in a sad fashion) about Spicer, yet sadly this kind of boobery in the handling of how things are presented is so normal in this administration it's not even shocking anymore. The concept and notion he was trying to make was a fine one, but as is typical of the Trump admin, it was made in the most clumsy fashion imaginable.

The sad thing is, they will continue to get a pass for this because the reality is that every time they do something stupid, the cadre of liberals / trump-anti's will make it out to be 100x worse than what it ACTUALLY is, leaving reasonable people to just shake their heads at the ridiculousness of everything and move on. It never lets the idiocy actually fully stand and breath on it's own, because the reactions to it are so stupid themselves that the idiocy isn't let to stand singularly within the spotlight.

Spicer made a stupid statement in a ridiculous fashion in an attempt to make an entirely different point. It's worthy of ridicule and mocking. The attitude and implications that there was some kind of holocaust denial here or that Spicer was unaware that there were gas chambers used on the jews is also rather ridiculous and worthy of derision.

Oh yeah. The people who think Spicer's a Holocaust denier are stupid.

Did you see his Freudian slip when he went to apologize for putting his foot in mouth. He said we really have to concentrate on the presidents excellent efforts in Syria, and to destabilize the region. He did that same Freudian slip earlier too

Re: Social media users question Spicer calling concentration camps 'Holocaust centers

We just never know what Spicer might say once he starts winging his daily windbag answers. I thought he might equate Holocaust Centers with Hospice and tell us about the 'comfort measures only' treatment it's numerous guests relied on.

Even Trump has to take note of this latest Spicer gaffe. Spicer probably couldn't make it as a Comedian. Maybe Betsy DeVoe could help him find work as a Public Administration or History teacher at a Charter School?

I saw that. I tell you what, Spicer is probably a glass of bourbon away from a 3 state shooting spree after this.

I will also give it to Spicer. I was able to see the entire interview with Blitzer played in its entirety, and I will give him tremendous credit for being contrite and sincerely embarrassed and not making any effort to shift blame or pretend he didn't say something really bad and all of that. All of the calls for his head and for Trump to fire him need to be ignored. He is not a Holocaust denier, and he is not a Jew hater. He made a mistake - a gigantic one, but it was a mistake.

I felt sorry for the guy after seeing that. And I also was impressed with Blitzer. Both of them were admirable in that segment.
