Re: Social media users question Spicer calling concentration camps 'Holocaust centers
I watched the interview with Wolf with sound, and Spicer was completely contrite. He admitted that he had made one of the most inappropriate and offensive statements that could ever be made, and for that he apologized profusely... over and over again.
Wolf made the point to hammer it in while he was talking to Spicer, but immediately gave him credit for being a big enough person to admit openly not only that he had screwed up, but that he had screwed up to that level. I was actually impressed with both men during and after that interview.
Yeah, this-------------------------------^
It was absolutely a disaster for Spicer. There isn't a polite way to put this. I saw Spicer being interviewed by Wolf Blitzer in my hotel bar on my way out to dinner tonight. I was able to see the closed caption of what they were saying very briefly, and it was something to the effect of "Uh, I went off script. I went way off script and this was a big booboo on my part." At least he seems contrite.
I think Spicer needs a little lesson in history.
