Reports Suggest President Trump Might Replace Stephen Bannon (VIDEO)

President Trump is considering replacing chief of staff Reince Priebus and chief strategist Stephen Bannon, according to several reports.

Bannon could be on the outs. Apparently he's been clashing with Jared Kushner, and threatened to resign after being ousted from the Security Council. Steve Bannon 'threatened to resign' after being ousted from National Security Council
And thank God for that. The problem is his damn family is taking over.

As to the bold above - We can only hope.

I was going to do a separate thread for this article, but I think it goes just fine here:

Trump’s Syria Strike Is Latest Sign of Steve Bannon’s Waning Influence | New York Magazine

Donald Trump’s surprise decision to launch missile strikes against Syrian president Bashar al-Assad’s forces in response to Tuesday’s horrific chemical attack represented a reversal from Trump’s noninterventionist campaign message. It’s also the most recent sign of the declining power of his chief strategist Stephen Bannon. Two sources close to Bannon told me the former Breitbart executive chairman argued against the strike — not because of its questionable constitutionality, but on the grounds that it doesn’t advance Trump’s America First doctrine. “Steve doesn’t think we belong there,” one Bannon ally told me. Bannon’s position lost out to those inside the White House, including Jared Kushner, who argued Trump needed to punish the Assad regime.

The debate over Syria is the latest fault line that has opened up in the once close Bannon-Kushner relationship. “During the campaign and transition, they had an almost uncle-nephew thing going,” one Bannon associate said. But in recent weeks, Kushner and Bannon have clashed over the direction of Trump’s agenda. While the press has covered it as a personality feud, Bannon allies say the rift is about policy differences. “The press is calling it fighting, we call it debating,” Bannon told an associate, according to a source. On a board in his West Wing office, Bannon keeps a list of promises Trump made to populist voters. Kushner, whose portfolio has ballooned in recent weeks, seems much less interested in keeping those promises.

Yeah, their last name isn't Kennedy. The nerve.

The Kennedy's, like the Bushs, tend to know what they are doing and have governmental experience.

Contrast that with the Trump clan.

I believe Trump was elected to stop the experienced that are ruining the country, or let's say change that experience.

That's cute in a "kid's say the darndest things"-kind of way, but very misguided.

Isn't that what they do in third world dictatorships?

At least John Adams ensured his son wiuld have a healthy supply of low level diplomatic posts as a young man, first.

Never has this forum needed a thumbs down feature than now. Yeah, the Bush' sure knew what they were doing.

Plutocrats versus Racist Extremists. Pick one.

Yeah, but being voted down by some users is like an affirmation of being on the right path.

Plutocrats.

That doesn't mean you throw them in the deep end without any experience.

What is misguided besides the people that keep the corruption going? Honesty is a concept lost on so many.

Trump and his family are honest? That is just bull***. Damn that was easy.

Donald Trump is the most honest person in the White House since Eisenhower. Trump has done everything in his power to do what he said he'd do. Except for keeping the U.S. out of unnecessary foreign engagements.

I said honesty is a lost concept. Can you people debate without changing what people say?

What's misguided is your precious belief that Dear Leader Trump isn't at the center of this nation's corruption.
Do some reading. Do you actually know anything about your president that you didn't learn from your media bubble?
Ever read John R. O'Donnell or Harry Hurt on Trump?
Give it a try.

And you think he is? An irrational statement.

You people? Is there somebody else here here? Why ain't the dogs barking? It's late.
Dude, I sort of agree. Honesty ain't lost, but it sure has gotten lawyered up. Like defining what the definition of is , is. (I don't think lawyered is a word, but I'm going with it).

A lot of the posts about Trump are the same. That means there is a group that say pretty much the same things, hence "you people".

OK, I checked and it's just me and the dogs.
Sure, a lot of the posts about Trump are similar in a negative way. And a lot of posts about Trump are similar in a positive way. So how far do you think we will get, in a debate sort of way, starting with "you people" and "those people"?
I'll start. I've wanted to put a cruise missile up Assad's a** since they bombed the aid convoy last year. But I also want to get the hell out of Syria because I just don't see a viable end game. And I really wish someone could show me one. I want to see a plan. I didn't see one from Obama and I don't see one from Trump. What do you want?

Plutocrats.

Sorry. Completely inexperienced and in-over-their-heads Plutocrats versus extremist xenophobic ideologues. Pick one.

See, now that's a choice.
