Obama had a relatively functional, cohesive, and workable Congress his first two years. That's not the case here, which is why many are not so sanguine about a lot getting done.
 
One can only blame Congress and the Administration for not being able to work together for the best interest of the American people. The current situation shows how political selfish members of Congress are.

At this point in the Obamacare process there was still a vigorous Exchanges-vs-Single-payer debate. Having disparate demands is how the sausage is made. The only real difference this time is the Democrats operated behind closed doors and the Republicans are being transparent.

And as long as our politicians on both sides of the aisle accept bribes.....er uh donations (directly or filtered through PACS and such) none of it will change.

wishful thinking by the anti-Trump folks.

Trump shouldn't' worry. Tax reform can move forward with bipartisan support. That will cut into the population of "free riders" as they get jobs. Nothing pisses of a taxpayer more than a guy getting a free ride on his dime.
