From Cernovich Media/Medium.com:
Susan Rice, who served as the National Security Adviser under President Obama, has been identified as the official who requested unmasking of incoming Trump officials, Cernovich Media can exclusively report.

The White House Counsel’s office identified Rice as the person responsible for the unmasking after examining Rice’s document log requests. The reports Rice requested to see are kept under tightly-controlled conditions. Each person must log her name before being granted access to them.

I'm glad "whodunit" has been revealed, but Rice was so wrong to do this.

Cernovich is not the most credible source.
Just saying, he's on the same level as Brietbart and Thinkprogress.

Agreed. He's a David Brock-type.

She said this in response to Nunes finding out what happened:

Yet, it sure looks like she's the one that did this. https://www.bloomberg.com/view/articles/2017-04-03/top-obama-adviser-sought-names-of-trump-associates-in-intel

Wow. She flat out lied in that interview, but that's nothing new for her. She was put out by the State Department to push the video narrative about Benghazi.

Re: Susan Rice Requested Unmasking of Incoming Trump Administration Officials

Ms. Rice, I recall, made the tour of the Sunday TV talk shows to spread the lie--knowingly--that a video which mocked Mohammed had caused the attack on the compound in Benghazi in which the U.S. Ambassador and three other Americans were murdered. She is a damned liar, just like the un-American disgrace to the presidency she was working for. Statists like Rice, Obama, and Mrs. Clinton lie as regularly and as casually as most of us breathe.

I'm glad "whodunit" has been revealed, but Rice was so wrong to do this.

Whether it was wrong depends, doesn't it, and what she did with the information. If the IC had concerns about Russia colluding with some members of the Trump team, what should Rice have done? Ignore the concerns, shut her eyes to any information that might confirm or rebut the concerns? The article said the reports were kept under VERY secure conditions, requiring anyone to see them to sign off on it.

It could be that what she did was wrong, but I haven't seen any information to demonstrate that yet.

FWIW, the author is wrong about one thing:

While conducting investigations into terrorism and other related crimes, intelligence analysts incidentally capture conversations about parties not subject to the search warrant. The identities of individuals who are not under investigation are kept confidential, for legal and moral reasons.

That's just objectively false/incomplete. U.S. persons can be unmasked for three reasons - https://www.lawfareblog.com/general-flynn-and-privacy-us-person-information-under-fisa

There is, however, an important exception for US person information that (1) meets the statutory definition of “foreign intelligence,” (2) is necessary to understand foreign intelligence (as Kris highlighted on Tuesday), or (3) is evidence of a crime. US person information that falls into one of these buckets does not have to be masked. The law does not require that the USIC turn a blind eye, nor should it. The USIC can use and disseminate pursuant to the minimization procedures this “unminimized” information, including the identity of a US person, if the standard is met as to that information.

A caveat, of course, is that dissemination is only permitted to recipients who need that information in the performance of their official duties. The public disclosure of such information is a wholly separate issue, beyond the scope of this article.

If she did what Bloomberg is reporting, then yeah, she stone cold lied, and did it well.

Re: Susan Rice Requested Unmasking of Incoming Trump Administration Officials

Looks like Susan Rice the 2nd Liar-in-Chief, probably did it. So I guess Trump didn't lie about being wiretapped.

Re: Susan Rice Requested Unmasking of Incoming Trump Administration Officials

What you quoted doesn't actually contradict what he said.

He said, "The identities of individuals who are not under investigation are kept confidential, for legal and moral reasons.

It was incomplete, at least, which is what I said. Also the standard is not "under investigation" but "evidence of a crime." Someone "under investigation" would almost surely need their own warrant to legally collect the calls. Admittedly "under investigation" versus "evidence of a crime" is similar, but the big deal is appropriate officials with a need to know can certainly get, e.g., a conversation about Flynn talking with the Russian ambassador about sanctions and know that it's Flynn on the other side - Rice as acting NSA would need to or COULD legally know what the Russians are telling Flynn about our reaction and the Russian response, and what Flynn is telling them. That is just NOT illegal. Leaking it was but not the unmasking of Flynn.

Indeed. She's proven herself to be a lying, corrupt, partisan political hack, in my view.

But that's nothing new. We knew that when she went on the Sunday talkies and lied through her teeth to the nation that the Benghazi attack was because of some stupid Internet video.

What does it tell you about a president that surrounds himself with such people? Likely that he's cut from the same cloth.

But again, that's nothing new.

this why the conservative media should stop lying to its base. Long after their lies have been debunked, conservatives still post the false narratives.

"The report blames the Obama administration's inaccurate portrayal of the attack as having evolved from a protest on fragmentary and contradictory intelligence from the CIA. It finds no intent to mislead the American public."

No stand down order or military missteps in Benghazi attack, GOP-controlled intel panel finds | Fox News

Let me simplify this for you Match:
Bush lies about the intel for WMDs, kills thousands of Americans, wounds tens of thousands, kills hundreds of thousands of Iraqis, spends a trillion dollars, you shrug.
Rice says exactly what intel said with its numerous qualifiers on a talk show, you lose your mind.

Followed the law?

Dude -- none of this contradicts what he said. He made a general statement which by and large comports with what you quoted. He didn't say it was absolute. And the context was in that information being leaked, which even your link says shouldn't be done.

So no, what he said was not "objectively false," which is also what you said.

Trump supporters sure are putting a lot of effort into convincing everyone that Trump is under investigation for multiple crimes.

OR, it's becoming obvious that the Obama regime spied on the Trump Campaign.

So are you saying that Nunes lied when he claimed that the surveillance was legal? Because if the surveillance was a)legal and b)not connected to Russia, then that means there is a second crime Trump is involved in.

Re: Susan Rice Requested Unmasking of Incoming Trump Administration Officials

As long as Thee isnt direct evidence that Barrack Obama donned coveralls and personally planted listening devices on the wired telephones in Trump Towers, leftists will cling to the "Obama didnt wiretap Trump!" rhetoric. What we hav seen is that in fact there were numerous incidents of te Obama administration via the DOJ and his own staff spying on Trump, spying on his campaign staff, unmasking materials, openly discussing such materials, etc.

What we dont have...still...since the investigations began apparently as far back as 2015...is any actual evidence of wrong doing.

Re: Susan Rice Requested Unmasking of Incoming Trump Administration Officials

As she was officially White House staff, it makes no difference. She was not in the State Department
or CIA. She was at the White House. This is better than a birthday present.

Susan Rice never would've unmasked any of those reports without having spoken with Barry first.

I kept saying let the libtards keep digging as they keep shooting themselves in the foot and it will
eventually expose that Traitorus Obama and his slimeball staff.
