Although Jeb Bush seems to hold a lot of respect for Donald Trump, yesterday he seemed to imply that the President is resorting to lying.

Jeb Bush: Donald Trump should 'stop saying things that aren't true' | Miami Herald

“He should stop saying things that aren’t true, that are distractions from the task at hand,” Bush told Miami Herald news partner WFOR-CBS 4 in an interview that aired Sunday on “Facing South Florida.”
...

“He’s a distraction in and of himself,” Bush said. “He’s got a lot of work to do, and some of these things — the wiretapping and all of this stuff — is a complete distraction that makes it harder to accomplish the things I know he wants to do.”

I don't think Jeb Bush respects Trump. I think he hates his guts and thinks he's an idiot. I think the whole Bush family thinks that. I saw the way Jeb Bush looked at Trump during the debates. Something George Bush said, too, which I've forgotten at this moment. He rarely says anything about a President or current decisions, but he said something...I forget what.

Trump called Jeb Bush weak and some other names during the campaign. He had a derogatory nickname for him.

Remember when people were telling Jeb to stop supporting his brothers idiotic claim that Iraq had WMD's? It's nice that Jeb didn't hear a thing and kept doing it anyway.

Ya and while I have never been a big Jeb watcher I do detect more than a trace of disappointment in We The People for picking Trump. I dont get any sense that he understands even yet what happened, there was a report in SEP that all through the summer he was calling folks up asking their opinion, trying to figure it out.

BUT:
JEB BUSH:
Well, I didn't, I mean, I don't know if they even heard what I said. That's the point. They-- they-- they didn't-- they wanted their voice heard. They still do. They're angry for legitimate reasons. They latched onto the big horse. All of which is logical to me in retrospect. In the midst of it, it wasn't very logical. I mean--

NICOLLE WALLACE:
In the midst of it were you like, "How does this hap--" I mean, what was--

JEB BUSH:
Well, it was, I mean, you talk to people and no one-- no wise person came to me in advance of what happened and said, "This is what's going to happen." Not a single person I know. Not a single person.

NICOLLE WALLACE:
Nobody thought it was going to happen.

JEB BUSH:
No. And probably Donald Trump at the beginning didn't either. So, you know, kudos for the guy for his, you know, I think he just-- he plays by his gut. He sensed an opening -- this deep disaffection -- and he played it like a Stradivarius violin

That has no relation to my post.

Jeb thinks he didn't raise enough money to spend on campaign adds attacking trump

Next time he'll raise a billion dollars minimum to tell the voters how much they love him

Nah, he knows it was not about the money....

Jeb had for years been diligent, talked to everyone, was a fabulous listener, he fancies himself a pretty good thinker too and yet he got blindsided by the reality of America that Trump instinctively understood (and Trump would certainly cop to that).....Trump knew, none of the often high priced geniuses knew, or at least none were willing to speak up.

Jeb cant figure out how that could have happened, or I have not heard that he figured it out yet anyways.

Exactly

Bush was lost in the washington establishment bubble that does not care about or understand average Americans

But trump does understand and he connects with the forgotten majority in America

Jeb is just sore that he is not president. But considering all the retards claiming Russian interference or Trump Russian collusion in our election without presenting any actual evidence the American people. They have absolutely no room to complain about the president making up things.

I am pretty sure this is where you get told that our president needs to set an example.

I am not going to do it though, someone has too do it.

THE AMERICAN WAY!

It's funny cause Trump's so-called 'lies' seem to become the truth over time.

To his followers maybe... but everyone with any degree of intelligence knows that his lies remain lies no mater how much his Cult wants to believe otherwise.

Mostly due to the inability of the Left to come to terms with the truth.

Where was Jeb when his brother was POTUS making so many untruthful statements?

Silently complicit in those lies, for sure.

From what I can tell, lies are a semi-conscious part of Trump's strategy.

Really? Because one unproven claim against Trump exists, I can't speak up when Trump tells an outright lie to the public?

Surely you kept your mouth shut on Hillary Clinton's lies, then. Because unproven allegations against Hillary Clinton still exist. Therefore you never had room to complain about Hillary Clinton making things up. So you didn't, right? You never once complained about Hillary Clinton lying?

It's funny cause Trump's so-called 'lies' seem to become the truth over time.

Yeah, sure they do :lamo

They really do seem to be. Just tell so many lies, so often, that people will constantly have to call you a liar. When you're called that often enough, it just becomes white noise. I mean, how many right-wingers have we seen on this forum just dismiss a thread on Yet Another Trump Falsehood with a statement about the mainstream media always attacking Trump?

Now, they'll believe anything the man says because when he's called out on a lie, that's just another part of the background noise.

Ahh, so now he really does have the largest electoral college vote margin since Reagan? That became true?

Claiming half of California's Democratic vote turnout was illegal aliens? That became true?

Highest crime rates in decades? That became true?

Over a hundred Gitmo prisoners released by Obama returned to the battlefield? That became true?

Which lies are you thinking about?

Yeah, he should. However, he ran precisely in a factless manner and is governing that way.

I hope he keeps it going. It keeps damaging him.

I'm not sure that Trump is nuanced enough to think of it that deeply, but I think you're basically correct.
