Jeb Bush says Trump 'should stop saying things that aren't true'

Last I heard JEB! was still Trying to figure out how he could have lost so badly to Trump....like dazed and confused.

I believe that Jeb refused to stoop so low as Trump. Trump continued with the Obama Birther lie, well after it was proven false; and more qualified candidates like Jeb and Christy refused to stoop that low. Trump proved that he no matter how low he would go, somehow he still prevailed. The Locker Room Banter, poor debate performances, etc., etc.

It's funny cause Trump's so-called 'lies' seem to become the truth over time.

We live in an age of Alternative Truths. Bigotry is chic. Diversity is a nasty word. Women are nasty. And Locker Room Banter is cool.

I don't think Jeb Bush respects Trump. I think he hates his guts and thinks he's an idiot. I think the whole Bush family thinks that. I saw the way Jeb Bush looked at Trump during the debates. Something George Bush said, too, which I've forgotten at this moment. He rarely says anything about a President or current decisions, but he said something...I forget what.

Trump called Jeb Bush weak and some other names during the campaign. He had a derogatory nickname for him.

How does that negate the fact that Trump keeps mking **** up?

If Trump started telling the truth, his support would drop like Snoop Dog's microphone.

Too late to turn back now.

Good to be back! I'm disappointed nobody emailed me to make sure I was still alive, but whatever. Point is, I'm back.

Naa...I figure anyone who leaves this place without being banned has gone on to bigger and better things. No point reminding someone of something they are probably better off being away from - lol.

Besides, if you were dead, I doubt very much you would have returned my pm.

"Low Energy".

And that's how you would've known!

As for the bigger and better things, not quite. Just bogged down in college work for longer than expected, coupled with a bit of a political enema. Regardless of what the last few months have been like, I'm feeling pretty good and have too much free time for my own good right now!

College work or 'chatting' on a chat forum?

Naaa...college is definitely bigger and better, imo.

I just come here to teach, learn and kill time. Being an investor I am in front of my computer much of the day. So in between trades/reading/web surfing/video games, I come on here for a break.

You're right, college is actually a significant upgrade from browsing ANY website. I won't pretend all of my time at college is filled with studying and research, though - a lot of what I was bogged down in was extracurricular. On the bright side, my campus' History Club is off to a good start.

Trump doesn't lie, you're just fake news! Or something. What's the Trump supporter buzzword of choice right now?

I was gonna email to see if you were alive but I was afraid I would not get an email back...

Don't worry, I was just busy trying to balance too many plates at one time. I'm not dying that easily. Did I at least get a special thread in the Tavern?

Not sure...

History? Cool. If there is one thing, imo, people lack knowledge of it's actual, unbiased, historical facts.

Ahh...university. I remember it well.

I would be jolted out of bed way-too-early because my then-girlfriend (when she stayed over) would always turn my alarm up full so she would not sleep in. She would go off and I would sleep until first class. I would get up (about 1/2 the time hungover), drive to class, sit in the back until a prof took attendance and then sneak out and go back to sleep.
I would skip most classes and then cram right before the tests because this friend of mine kept PERFECT notes and I would buy them off him for $5 (this was in the 1980's)...and I would pass every test.
I was not a very motivated student - to say the least. Even when I did pay attention - I learned squat (I was taking business).
I don't know what you are taking - but imo - for business, universities (at least in America) are NOT worth the cost. I learned far, FAR more on the street.
Though I am sure there are many courses that post secondary education is absolutely essential.

Sounds productive.

I've had a similar experience... minus the girlfriend. And the drinking. And the skipping. I'm just not very diligent in my studies compared to a lot of people, kinda like you with the last minute cramming.

God do I sound boring on paper!

To be fair, my grandfather (whom I barely knew) paid for everything including living expenses...so it's not like I had anything to lose. And I figured going to university in Iowa was better than sitting around watching tv (all of 25 channels), playing pickup sports and video games (yup - we had them back then, but they were CRUDE).

Ahh, you are a funny guy...you cannot be that boring.

From what I can tell, lies are a semi-conscious part of Trump's strategy.

You should be use to lies after Obama.

I agree with Jeb Bush...Trump should pay attention to his job.

With his dreadful job approval ratings, you would think he would want to spend more energy on running America - not watching Breitbart and posting tweets everytime he sees something that catches his eye.

His Gallup rating is down to 36% today, btw.

Gallup Daily: Trump Job Approval | Gallup

What a buffoon.

Once again, I have ZERO loyalty to any political party or movement.

I believe that Jeb refused to stoop so low as Trump. .

I think he was just baffled that people are so sick of the establishment that they moved on.

I noticed my lawn guy had the same look on his face when i fired him after raising his rates x5 over the last few years.

I thought what would be the appropriate thing to do in this situation?

Oh yeah..."You're fired"!

And move on......

Although Jeb Bush seems to hold a lot of respect for Donald Trump, yesterday he seemed to imply that the President is resorting to lying.

Jeb Bush: Donald Trump should 'stop saying things that aren't true' | Miami Herald

“He should stop saying things that aren’t true, that are distractions from the task at hand,” Bush told Miami Herald news partner WFOR-CBS 4 in an interview that aired Sunday on “Facing South Florida.”
...

“He’s a distraction in and of himself,” Bush said. “He’s got a lot of work to do, and some of these things — the wiretapping and all of this stuff — is a complete distraction that makes it harder to accomplish the things I know he wants to do.”

JEB! Bush still butt-hurt that he got beat so bad by Trump that he had to drop out after South Carolina.

JEB BUSH:
Well, it was, I mean, you talk to people and no one-- no wise person came to me in advance of what happened and said, "This is what's going to happen." Not a single person I know. Not a single person.
Basically he was told exactly what was going to happen he just didn't think "wise people" were telling him what he wanted to hear.
