Bannon Pushed Trump to Use Health Care Vote to Write Up “Enemies List”

1. I'm not defending Bannon.

2. Obama was referring to American citizens; Bannon is referring to other politicians. Politicians who also have their own enemies lists.

3. Do you condemn Obama's comments?

Bannon is in office right now, not Obama.

Why are GOPs running away from Bannon or trying to act like he doesn't matter ?

Which party is in control of the government?

What has the party in control of government right now accomplished in 66 days?

How is trump doing with keeping his word on promises, such as 12 rounds of golf in 9 weeks or not using American steel in Keystone, just to name two ?

Probably. I know that's hard for you to grasp, because unlike you, for me *what* is more important than *who*.

(Presuming you meant 'did', and not 'do'.)

Bannon pushed Trump to use health care vote to write up enemies list.

"The Times story appears to confirm earlier reports from the Daily Beast that quoted an official saying that Bannon called on the president “to keep a **** list on this.” The unnamed official added: “Not sure if I’d call it an ‘enemies list,’ per se, but I wouldn’t want to be on it.” Another aide described it as a “hit list” for Republicans who were not loyal to the president."

Fake news of course. It makes President Bannon look bad. It sounds like him though. Always more interested in confrontation than anything else.

I don't think it's fake news. Both Trump and Priebus alluded to the same thing...that Trump was surprised by people he thought were loyal to him...but were not.

This morning one of the Freedom Caucus members abruptly resigned saying that he really wanted to vote yes...but they made him vote no. I suspect he was on 'the list'. lol

You just proved you're all about the, "who".

No one is 'running away from Bannon.' People are just getting tired of you injecting him into every discussion. We get it. You hate Bannon

Thugs gonna be thugs....of course it didn't work, and it won't in the future.

I would ask you to elaborate, but I have zero faith you'd do anything else other than some completely irrelevant non-point.

My only point in this exchange at all was to showcase hypocrisy in stating no one cares when you're in fact doing the opposite.

Why shouldn't they? He wields powerful influence. Face reality, Bannon is to Trump what Cheney was to Bush the Second.

Did I inject Bannon into this discussion, Fletch? Seems that was the OP!

It was Bannon who threatened the GOPs and told them they had no choice.

Bannon found out even the GOPs are far more honorable than Breitbart Bros.

Please keep denying Bannon while not defending him .

Nixon had his enemies list.

Trump-Bannon have learned nothing however.

While Watergate was a direct assault on the Constitution these guyz in there today are a disturbance in the Force. They think 'force' has a lower case 'd'.

Darth Bannon - Stephen Vader

Bannon reached out to Le Pen for “global ultra-right coalition.” Le Pen met with Nigel Farage of the UK Independent Party. And Trump met with Farage shortly after being elected. Bannon has always wanted to burn down the GOP. That’s still his goal. He wants it replaced with an American National Front party in fact if not in name.

Of course you're going to resort to personal denigration, once you've been busted.

Lets see if he last that long. One could argue that Bannon is far worse since at least Cheney had the excuse he was elected. Nobody elected Bannon to anything.

No, it's not. Dedicated enemies are rare, actually. "Politics as usual" is situational. You take what you can get when you can get it. That's where the saying, "Politics makes strange bedfellows." comes from. What's really dumb about this burning bridges approach is that it will only make their own political lives harder.

It's situational, we have a problem with the 30 most extreme rightwingers of the party who basically decided to save Obama care because Paul Ryan didn't want to repeal it all in one, for one thing it would be impossible to do so without a nuclear option, and second it would not be practical nor morally right at this point to simply repeal obamacare outright.

but they chose to take nothing over something, and betrayed their fellow members in the process. this is not a fight that should've been fought in the open, this is something you keep in-house. It may be a hard road to fight the freedom caucus, but if they can't agree to support any of the White House's or Ryan's agenda then maybe it is better to dedicate politcal capital to Cantor-ing them out in the primary or supporting a run by a third party or a blue dog democrat into the seat, because having a freedom caucus house member is apparently exactly the same as having Nancy Pelosi in those seats.

Maybe the whole thing was not about health care, but about getting the names for the ****list.

;)

Oh it is politics as usual.

The thing is, Trump won the election because people didn't want that anymore.

I agree. The enemies list is as old as the Presidency and should never be. Trump risks becoming the Swamp Thing.

Sounds like regular politics to me.

Unless Bannon is suggesting disloyal republicans be killed or something, I mean this is regular strategy, do not support people who don't support you.

Yup yup, Status Quo politics. Brought to you by Trump. We weren't going to get anything different, Trump is all Establishment.

That is correct. There was a lot of terror in the possibility of Hillary taking over the reins of a weaponized bureaucracy.
Hope this is fake news.
