Yep. While Nixon was clearly criminal for both sides, the left is now desperately thrashing about and trying to find something that might stick.

This is how he reacts to a hearing, people. When a national emergency involving large scale disaster and potential loss of life finally happens, this guy is going to completely monkey-panic.

I agree with Clinton, but less so with Bush and Obama. At this time I do not see that they committed crimes.

The debate is going to be big. That has nothing to do with Obamacare failing, with millions still carrying no health insurance. Let's not be so partisan you can't allow yourself to acknowledge the facts.

The convicted felon, John Dean, could accurately be described as rabid anti-Republican. An objective reader should always take that into consideration when reading his screeds.

The media hopes the connection to Nixon means this criminal stooge has something of value to offer. How long has he been out of jail? And he thinks he knows something about what people are doing in the White House?

I don't know, what I've read here at DP indicates that it was not seen as criminal on the right.

OMG, at the very least, be honest about how he became a felon, it was because he admitted to the Senate that he was was Nixon's bag man. Yer just upset that he didn't keep his hand over the flame like Liddy.

As directed he went to camp David to work on it and while there discerned he was being set up to take the fall, as he had been the main man behind the cover up. It was then he went to the FBI and asked for immunity but never got it.

I also recall in there that his wife was killed in an airline crash around the same time. That has always bothered me. I am no conspiracy theorist, I have had too many whistle blowers leave me plain brown envelopes. But that was a coincidence that just seemed a bit hinky to me.

You were in school, I was a working journalist in Montreal..!

I am almost sure it was Dean, I recall because I liked the guy. If it had happened to Hunt or Haldeman it wouldn't have made a difference. However I have been reading about long term memory. It seems we don't remember quite as well as we think we do. Some things like color and smells trigger memories, sometimes into infancy. However we mess up the details over time, we may say that an event occurred in the basement when it was really the kitchen. And our memory gets altered in re-telling either through embellishments that grow over time, or minor details become forgotten so we add them out of imagination without realizing it.

That could be the case here. It HAS been over three decades, there's a lot of booze and drugs between me and those days.
