Trump personally met with Russian ambassador during campaign

Well, I appreciate your reaching out in bipartisanship, sir. Although most GOP are not outright supporting Trump's Saturday twitter-fit, I've not seen any say outright that it couldn't be true. I've also not seen any GOP say the obvious, that if Trump has the evidence that he stated as fact on Saturday that Obama spied on him, that he should present his evidence. In my opinion they are in effect excusing his behavior, which is hard for me to admire. I don't think it's unreasonable for me to claim that rather than drag out Trump's claims with a congressional investigation, that Trump could declassify whatever his evidence is and present it to the nation.

I've seen several of the GOP senators calling for this evidence.

As usual, Graham, Collins, McCain--but also Cotton of AR--he was the one who had that rowdy townhall.

More--Sasse and Rubio. Both parties want trump's CT investigated, so this isn't going away anytime soon and can't help the GOP but could certainly hurt this nation domestically and internationally .

Actually, that was Sen. Cruz's Father who was accused by lyin don of being in on the plot.

And I half expect Cruz thinks he'll be appointed to the USSC with the next opening .

I'd like to be able to bet against that happening. Cruz disrespected Trump - without groveling I can't see any way Trump will reward that with a USSC lifetime gig.

It's pretty hard to feel sorry for this guy and the GOP obstructors the last 8 years.

I'm beginning to believe others who say that we have an 8-year Democracy turnaround .

It's his job. Trump probably met him at the RNC convention that was setup by obama.

trump met with Kislyak in DC on April 27 last year before a big foreign policy speech.

trump's lies and denials will be his undoing, just like with Nixon but a whole lot worse on the Nation .

I think Cruz already groveled when he ended up endorsing the Donald, whom he had previously called a "pathological liar".
That may not have been sufficient groveling to have earned a Supreme Court seat, though.

Meh. We're past the point where obviously this administration has had contact with Russians. The time for quantifying it is over. Now we need to qualify it.

Seeing the tax returns is probably a good place to start.
 
I, for one, am proud of NIMBY, he has managed not to mention Bannon in an entire thread, this is progress.

You know that's not what was meant when they say having no connections. He greeted the Russian ambassador along with other foreign ambassadors at a foreign diplomat meet and greet. Good God people, just stop! It's getting ridiculous.

Mr. Trump met at a VIP reception with Russia’s ambassador to the U.S., Sergey Ivanovich Kislyak. Mr. Trump warmly greeted Mr. Kislyak and three other foreign ambassadors who came to the reception.
