And, ftr, the reports being relied upon mention electronic banking records, not phones.
Also, some dude at the National Review claims that the FISA application which was actually accepted "did not mention Trump"

The WH wants this added to the ongoing investigation of the Russians et al.
Congress should probably confirm that Obama did tap Trump's phones before they look into the motivation for it.

That is what is going to get investigated. If the Trump campaign were wire tapped, and it is increasingly looking like that is not true, it would be about their Russian connections.

It seems that some Trump associates of some sort had some sort of communications monitored.

Electronic banking records have been specifically mentioned.

And as to Trump's particular involvement, this guy has been stressing the following message.

As I have stressed, it is unclear whether “named” in this context indicates that Trump himself was cited as a person the Justice Department was alleging was a Russian agent whom it wanted to surveil. It could instead mean that Trump’s name was merely mentioned in an application that sought to conduct surveillance on other alleged Russian agents.

in October 2016...the Justice Department submitted a narrowly tailored application that did not mention Trump. The court apparently granted it, authorizing surveillance of some Trump associates.​

"Democrat Kathy Arue [sic]: “My sources [sic] from the White House told me, she thinks it’s all true."

Kathy's "sources" said she thinks it's all true.

Doesn't get much more certain than that.

Areu did not mention her source's belief about whose phones were tapped though.


Some guy at National Review already let us know that the FISA warrant really only targeted the foreign intelligence agents trump associates with—Trump associates as he put it.
Areu's WH sources didn't say whose phones she believed were tapped.
I wonder if Areu's sources believes it was the phones of the foreign intelligence agents.

I have heard Kathy before. She is a bit shrill and passionate about hatred of the president.

I dont think the story is going to play out like she hopes.

When draining the swamp one might have to wear high boots or get bit by some of these treacherous snakes.

Putin is a poor excuse for a "Christian". He's a murderer and a thief for starters. His thievery has made him the richest man in the world which is why Trump admires him so.

Whom did he murder? And what about the Nobel prise winner Obama?
Under his government many millions were murdered in countries that are on the other side of the globe, while USA was invaded by Mexican drug dealers and other criminals.

Putin is just an innocent child in comparison with American presidents, who kill innocent civilians on the other side of the globe, not in their neighbourhood, protecting their own boarders.

Putin put into jail some influential thieves, like Khodorkovsky, other influencial thieves, like Berezovsky or Gusinsky, were not allowed to steal any more what belongs to the Russian people.

Actually it is said that the proof of the pudding is in the tasting. And the Russians were damn well professional enough to achieve their objective and get Trump elected. That success is all we need to know about how professional they were.

All your other stuff about Christianity - its just stuff I have no interest in indulging you about. You seem to have issues there and I do not want to entertain them.

One thing to consider: if this is true - and it was done legally - there just may be recordings of talks between Trump, Trump campaign officials and the Russians. This has potential to be the equal to the White House taping system in Watergate which ultimately brought Nixon down and forced his resignation.

The article was in the Jan 20 NYT newspaper usually delivered to your doorstep by 6am. Trump was sworn in at Noon Jan 20. This kind of narrows it down as to which president was in charge when the phone tapping was happening.
