Not saying that....I do remember the early days of the TP, they were absolutely grass roots...and even though as it gained traction, people like FreedomWorks and others tried to latch on, and in some cases sponsoring events and calling them TP events, at least in the start, and in lots of cases were totally grass roots. This however with the liberal side of things are manufactured from the jump, that much is clear...

Look, I don't think it is a bad thing for our reps to take heat from opposition when they go home. I think it's good for them, but for goodness sake, "shutting down" these events because of the rancor, and vitriol being unleashed is not only ridiculous, but unproductive....What do you think these continued things will solve when instances like a Chaplin being shouted down for opening with a prayer of all things....How do you think that makes your side look?

Regular Americans already did lose their health insurance in the less expensive form they once had. It's WAY more expensive for most people than before.

Costs were going up anyway. People are concerned they're going to be denied for pre-existing conditions, get dropped for getting sick and be charged more for being a woman. Do you believe people aren't concerned about that?

Sure, but giving the whole thing to something as fantastically uneconomical and broken as the US government was destined to only exacerbate the problem times a thousand. And it has.

Good analysis. The left should be learning from the past six years instead of burying their heads in the sand and doubling down on what they did last election. I'm a moderate who would love to see some party somewhere represent centrist America who doesn't want either of the extremes running the country.

I don't really care what either side does at these town halls. I mean, if the politicians find them useful they'll keep holding them. If they don't...they won't.

The only problem I envision has to do with the basic psyche of the liberal. They are known to escalate when their tactics don't work. I'm fearful...especially given what I've seen from the various "peaceful protests"...that some will resort to violence. It's happened before...it certainly can happen again. I'd really hate to see people and property being damaged.
