He was elected and is now hyperactive. The media are thrashing around in hysterical and hateful diatribe, while according to the NYT Democrats have decided the wage?? war on Trump. Now we all knew Trump was less than ideal presidential material and only 25 percent voted against him. For the serious media to go mad and complain about Trump's style of negotiating his way instead of analyzing and debating the substance and consequences, going mad now is an embarrassing.

And, what is sadly true, they are harming the country. Trump's got that right, anyway.
25 % against, of what? I thought Hillary alone got more votes

Could be worse, he could be Mulroney in the late 90s. He was nearing single digit approval ratings.

Less than half of Americans approve of President Donald Trump's performance in office so far, according to an NBC/Wall Street Journal poll published Sunday.

What do you think about this?

It will be interesting to see if Mr Trump's numbers go up or down.

I think the time is passed when polls should be given any credit.

those are the news outlets that tRump said are OUR enemies ........... should we believe them, or should we believe fuhrer tRump?

I agree. A 44% approval rating is way too high.

No. You are not agreeing with what I said. Which was that polls tell us nothing these days. For all we know President Trumps 'approval rating' may be 24% or 64%.

What do I think?

I don't trust polls. Never have (although I am not above using them in countering other polls to show how sampling and question format affects outcomes).

When it comes to polls conducted by special interest advocates they are even more suspect.

I think the political clime is such that people who don't agree with the loud and boisterous either won't participate or won't be honest if they do. It doesn't help if questions are worded in ways to lean in a certain way either. :coffeepap:

He is now President and has time to show, what he can achieve. The polls are just a picture of americans' recklessness in the election.

In terms of history, that is an abysmally low approval rating out of the gate. Nevertheless, 44% is still quite doable and well within range of his electoral victory.

After the election, Trump received 45.9% of the popular vote, Clinton received 48%. Trump's approval rating is 44%. That's pretty close to saying those who voted for him are pleased, those who did not are not. In fact, in similar opinion polling, that's close to what's happening. Upwards of 90% of Republicans are satisfied with Trump, whereas, I want to say, less than 10% of Democrats are satisfied with Trump.

No. Both Clinton and and Trump had about twenty five percent each. The other more or less fifty voted neither for or against. You can apply a quick opportunity cost calculation to estimate how much they were Trump.

Believe your fellow travelers in the far left news media

because thats what you want to believe anyway

I think when a pollster calls, many, like me, just like to screw with them.

I was born in the USA. Half of my family is close to 100% Irish and the other half is close to 100% Swedish. Being Born in the USA, I refer to myself as a Native American.

:)

give it time; tRump will dig his own (political) grave .................

I find this whole thing to be very interesting. Trump is not a political animal like the other pit vipers in DC. He is a pit viper, but not a traditional politician.

The narrowly conscious reporters of the DC press Corps are not in on the joke. They are confused, bitter, small minded and a little less sharp than the average observer. They see the world through the narrative they peddle.

Trump sees everything in a very cause-effect way. If people want more jobs, there needs to be a growing pool of job providers to provide them. This is not a difficult concept to grasp and yet it evades the gaggle of geese following the leader in the press.

It's not much different than anything else. If people want more of anything, there needs to be more of that thing produced. This is true of apples, cookies or jobs.

People who don't court the favor of the press are not popular with the press. Why would they be? The press wants to run the show. With Trump, they don't.

There are still the dim witted who believe the story the press is peddling without noting the devious agenda that accompanies it, but sooner or later, the people will vote again and the Dems will lose more seats at all levels of government and the Press will, with the liberal elites, be absolutely stunned by the results. Again.

This is getting to be a predictable sequence of events and the only people who see this outcome as a plot twist are those that are living the lie.

IF Trump implements the agenda he has in mind and the outcomes are as he describes them, no amount of twisted reporting will cloud the understanding by the public.

If the jobs report is worse, the stock market tanks, ISIS thrives, the economy tanks and the inner cities are even worse, then the public will render its verdict.

If jobs are growing robustly, the Stock Markets continue to close at records every day, the economy once again grows at pre-Obama rates and the inner cities are revitalized, then, too, the public will render its verdict.

Either way, the press is going to be shocked and outraged by everything that Trump says and does. It's what they do.

He is not a Black Democrat trying to please them and never will be.

At Trump rallies there was standing room only at any democratic rally the echo is deafening !

First, why would anyone believe a poll ever again?

Second, what do you say we give him more than six weeks to see how things take form.

Third, can the guy at least get his cabinet in place?

Emotionally deranged and unstable liberals have to eventually calm down, don't they?

It's going to be OK.

Is this one of the polls that predicted a Clinton victory?

Yeah, last night it was reported and 46 or 48 approve and 44 don't. That's sort of even; I'm sure more Republicans answered the poll. Trump's gonna keep it up and I think he'll be run out like Kellyann Conway.

Obama had approval ratings in the 40's for many years of his presidency.
