WASHINGTON ― School administrators in a 93 percent white Maryland county recently asked high school teachers to take down pro-diversity posters*from classrooms because they perceived them as “political” and “anti-Trump,” a school spokesperson told The Huffington Post.

Not sure what's "anti-Trump" about them, but we can't have free speech for liberals. That is reserved for Milo Y.

Carey Gaddis, a spokeswoman for Carroll County Public Schools.

right after that:

At least one staff member complained about the posters, and the teachers were “asked to take them down because they were being perceived as anti-Trump by the administration,” Gaddis said.


Or are you asking what teachers said that?

pro diversity is anti Trump? Well duh, but only because Trump is anti diversity. The question is why does diversity have to be political and why is advocating diversity a bad thing in educational context? Because the admin's actions will only be read by the non white students as "I'm not welcome here"

Who is against diversity anyway? Is deporting illegals like Obama did anti-diversity? No. Why would they decide to make put the word diversity on the poster? Oh right, to give off the impression someone was against it.

It even goes so far as saying "we the people defend diversity" like they are fighting some political battle against someone. I can't imagine who that could be though. :lol:

I do like the irony that has been set up for conservatives to now reflexively whine about "feeling offended" now that liberals have set that standard. It's like when Christian organizations demand a public space for Christian displays then whine when they realize that you must include all religious ideaologies when given public access.

No, I said nothing of the sort. What I said is that no one is against diversity, but the creator of that poster wants the audience to think there is. Some evil doer somewhere is out to destroy diversity and we must stand together as a people and defend it against their attacks!

Especially when the writer of the story is so blatant in her own prejudice.

After taking the posters down, the teachers were initially allowed to put them up again. But the administration did some further investigation online and determined that the posters could be seen as political. The school does not allow teachers to put up political posters in their classrooms “unless it’s part of a curriculum and they represent both sides,” Gaddis said. (The story was first reported by the Carroll County Times.)

President Donald Trump took office vowing to crack down on immigration and ban Muslims from traveling to the United States, promises that he has already tried to fulfill. His administration is also stacked with anti-immigration hard-liners, and his campaign won early support from prominent white nationalists, whom Trump has unconvincingly sought to disavow.​

The "crack down on immigration" and 'ban Muslims from traveling' without including "illegal" with immigration and "temporary" with the travel ban are blatantly dishonest. No reason to believe she reported anything else honestly either.
