Trump: Healthcare plan coming in March

AND also one must agree to pet the pony in special places...just where the our beloved Republicans in Washington do it. ;)

But I do hope the pony isn't abused. Stump Trumping the pony needs to be clearly forbidden in the new plan. I'm not spending my tax money on STD treatments.

Surely there is a video somewhere of McConnell petting a pony.

Someone told me you have a bumper sticker on your car that says, "Can't we all just get a schlong?" Perhaps they were being untruthful.

Oh dear. Does this mean your wife wants it back? It was starting to grow on me. The bumper sticker, not the schlong.

If "Obamacare" is a jobkiller as Trump says, how can America be at full employment? (Full employment is NOT zero unemployment.)

I told her I'd give to her anytime she wants it. The schlong, not the bumper sticker.

I'd like to know why kept it Top Secret until the Year 2017

Because they first have to even figure out what it is lol

Trumpcare: A rape whistle, a box of tylenol, and a Blue Cross Blue Shield pamphlet.

I also find it interesting - if this is to be believed - that similar to Obama, The Donald is leading-off his legislative agenda by taking-on Health-care!

Did he not learn from Obama's folly?

Taking over health-care seems to be the political kiss of death, in this country.

Obama was a 2 termer

oh yes, and the NON Medical ailments; Marcus Bachmann can help with that ........... 'pray the gay away' ...............

Okay, I'm confused. He or Ryan just said a week or so ago that the health plan would be coming in 2018. It would be developed in 2017, then it would be passed later in the year, and it would be in the budget for 2018.

So maybe it'll be announced, but not a passed Act, in March? Passed late in the year to take effect in 2018?

Won't be passed, unless they get rid of the filibuster. Which would make it all the more easy for dems to turn around and pass single payer in 2020 or whatever. Which is why it won't happen, they'll get to avoid the fallout from if their ****ty plan actually did pass, and they'll blame the dems

But anyway, I suspect it'll be something along the lines of: Government deregulates the industry, while the people are told to start saving.

Which will be pretty worthless, except now there will not be fines for buying near worthless insurance, but rather there will be insurance even more worthless that you don't have to buy!

Which will probably please the Right-wing 'freedom-from-everything' crowd ...

'freedom to get sick and die'

if you think insurance is worthless now, wait till you get a medical bill for $60k

what in the world are you talking about? Obama left with 60% approval and the ACA gradually became more popular as now 20 million more have access to health care than before. Single payer would be the end of this subject as a political charade and the people who brought it about would be celebrated with a year. Just like in the rest of the developed world

They don't want to be known as the party that millions lost their insurance under, and some people died. The pre-existing condition provision is a big one.

Ryan has a plan. He's had one for some time. But it's a typical Republican plan, which may not fly in this day and age.

Letting ins. cos. sell across state lines and removing the mandatory provision is not a plan.

"Quick?" I've personally been aware of the healthcare reform debate since the 1990's, and republicans have spent the last 20 years creating the perfect health plan.

Yes, they developed the outline in 1989, advocated it as an alternative for Hillarycare in 1994, watched its implementation in Massachusetts in 2003 and nationally in 2010. It was an ingenious plan that leveraged the private healthcare infrastructure to provide near universal coverage with a net savings to the taxpayer through spreading the risk by mandating all citizens be covered.

The problem Republicans now have is their plan has been implemented. They know (and the American people will soon discover) that you can not insure preexisting conditions and eliminate low lifetime caps without either a) a mandate or b) government subsidy.

In the end, they will repeal Obamacare and replace it with Trumpcare (the latter an oxymoron), that will fundamentally be the same thing...

Trump's new health care plan is a voucher for:

1) a box of assorted size Band Aids,

2) 24 pack of aspirin,

3) a small bottle of Rolaids,

4) a small bottle of Pepto Bismol,

5) and enima bag,

6) a pamphlet on CPR,

7) a pamphlet on the Heimlich maneuver,

8) a free lunch ticket at your nearest charity hospital's cafeteria (if applicable) to be used in case you have a debilitating stroke, a deadly heart attacks, and first diagnoses visit discovering 4th stage cancer

9) 1 free adult bus token to the nearest shelter after you become homeless because catastrophic insurance for rich people was unaffordable and your house and car is repossessed. Kid's and spouse's tokens will have to be paid for independently.

10) A $19.95 Urn to be given to your surviving family members - and a free body ash locator at the local crematoriums.

OR....standard issue:

..and that combination Bible / Russian phrase book is certain to come in handy during the Trump reign.

If the ACA was attached to Romney's name.. if it was called Romneycare, Republicans would be defending the s*** out of it.

I'm calling it now: it's going to be laughably terrible. This is like the kid realizing that all semester long there's been a research project due and so they're trying to cram it in all in one night. Republicans have had six years to come up with a plan and now that the rubber has met the road they're realizing that they had nothing.

You voted for the asshole. You can't be surprised.

I don't care one way or the other. The U.S. healthcare system is screwed six ways to Sunday. The primary blame lies with Congress because they're the ones who have been saying that they're going to repeal the ACA without a plan. Or are you another person who thinks that the Executive branch writes legislation?
