I'm upset that we have a President who is specifically intent on delegitimizing and silencing negative reports about him.

That's the way most of us are seeing it. We see them as attempted to dishonestly and deliberately attempting to destroy a legally elected President of the United States and prevent him from doing anything he was elected to do.

But there was no outrage when Hillary said this:

Trumps tweet is accurate. The good news is each of those media organizations he listed are dying. When they are dead America and the world will be a better place.

We need a free press. So I hope when the diehard dishonest and destructive types that control most of the MSM are so diminished nobody supports them anymore that they will be replaced by an honest media that gives us the facts, all the facts, in the most comprehensive form and allows the people to decide whether those facts are good and bad.

I bitterly resent a media that attempts to dictate to me what I should think about anything.

What they will be replaced with, in Trump's world view, is a "legitimate" press that only reports positive things about him.

That wasn't a huge deal was it? Why is Trump tweeting about a dishonest and irresponsible MSM such a huge deal?

Is it so much easier to spend all the focus on these trivial things instead of looking at his cabinet picks and what is likely to occur the bureaucracy in Washington?

If it weren't so ridiculous it would be spooky. Whether they're biased or not, to blanket brand media outlets as straight up 'enemies of the people' invokes uncomfortable overtures of Stalinism.

Fake News about Bannon flying down to Floriday to confront DHS secretary
Fake News about Melania being a hooker
Fake News about Barron having autism
Fake News about a "MUSLIM BAN"
Fake News about ... pretty much everything regarding Trump
Fake news about Trump left and right...all negative. All the positive stories have been confirmed to be true.

To be fully informed, you have to admit that initially, when Trump first entered the primaries, the media and particularly CNN were bending over backwards to publicize everything Trump with abundant free air time and cushy, softball interviews, etc., because the media, and CNN in particular, the aptly named Clinton News Network, considered a Trump candidacy as assuring their gal Hillary would waltz into the White House. Once Trump became the nominee, CNN and others went on the attack against Trump as was always their plan - get the weakest opposition, then destroy it. Only problem was that Trump happened to catch the fancy of a large number of people, and not just on the right - in the center too - and Hillary was such damaged goods that Trump became a real threat, thus the creation of false narratives, like their polling, and of course Trump, who enjoyed such glowing coverage early on lashed out at the new coverage he was getting.

If you fail to see how your country's media tried to manipulate the last Presidential election, and for that matter the two before it, you'll never wake up to the danger your media actually poses to a free and prosperous nation.

I haven't seen Trump even comment on much less object to media reports that honestly report what he is doing and why people are objecting to that. But he sure does object to the MSM that tries to get us to hate him. So do I. It is wrong, it is dangerous no matter who is in the White House, and it should be condemned by Americans everywhere.

He hasn't said that at all. He has quite correctly pointed out that leading and skewed MSM polls of his approval ratings are not to be entirely believed. And indeed they all do present him in a much worse light than do the objective and honest polls that the MSM won't print or report.

On those, more Americans--more than 50% are giving him a thumbs up and more approve of the initiatives he has taken so far than disapprove. More people believe the country is on the right track and have more confidence in the economy than has been the case for more than a decade.

Yes the President's disapproval ratings are higher than a new President's ratings should be, but I am convinced the MSM is trying to paint a much worse picture than actually exists.
