Was the "Biden Rule" ever enforced? NOPE. From your link:

There was no Supreme Court vacancy to fill.

There was no nominee to consider.

The Senate never took a vote to adopt a rule to delay consideration of a nominee until after the election.

Not until 24 years later was this basically non-existent rule (Biden was chairman of the JC, not Senate majority leader) invoked. Using a quarter-century old bit of hypothetical political rhetoric as a way to commit actual theft of the high judiciary? Sorry, CJ. Gonna have to do better than that.

Well, there is something good, I think, in the Biden Rule. Named for Joe Biden's opposition to GHWBush appointing a SCOTUS pick in 1992. Unfortunately we no longer have jurors who blindly dispense the law but apparently partisan judges. Some believe that this goes back to Bork who perhaps was an top legal scholar.
Should the President select SCOTUS in the last 3 months of his term? 6 months? Year?
And the next question is should we do away with the Reid Rule about filibusters or expand it?

the seat belongs to the people of the country.

removing checks and balances because they are inconvenient is well stupid.
there is a reason the rules exist.

expanding the power of government to area's that they are not supposed to go is even worse.

It was a gamble because if the LB had won, we'd probably get another far left lesbian gun banning SJW. McConnell dared-and won and now we are going to get a guy some say will out Scalia Scalia

The D's were incredibly stupid to hand the reins back to this failure. It is really hard to see how they get their act together though selecting Pete Buttigieg for the DNC Chair would be a powerful start, which of course means that it will happen when Hell freezes over, because this is the Democrats.

If the roles had been reversed you guys would be calling the Dems authoritarian anti constitutional fascists. The simple fact is what the GOP did with obamas nominee was flat out wrong but you guys won't admit it nor hold the GOP accountable for it.

I think every POTUS should have to undergo a mental and physical examination from an unbiased doctor(s) at a military hospital.

It is ridiculous not to have the person that can obliterate the world not be checked for mental instability.

You are forgetting the two nominees he'd already made, aren't you? Are you unable to grasp that the opposition would do most anything to block a third? Forgetting about the Biden Rule? Judging by their actions re Trump's cabinet, especially those actions, Democrats in Congress care nothing about the security of our country and the smooth transition of power and EVERYTHING about toppling the Republican presidency.
