The Rasmussen Reports daily Presidential Tracking Poll for Tuesday shows that 57% of Likely U.S. Voters approve of President Trump’s job performance. Forty-three percent (43%) disapprove.

wow, it's almost like people have bigger problems than crowd size and protests. The people in my world just want to see action. and Trump, so far, is delivering. and if continues to do so and the nation's fortunes begin to improve, he will be re-elected. simple as that. delivering the change people want will beat A THOUSAND petty arguments with the corrupt media. none of it will stick on Teflon Don, but he must deliver the goods. it's no harder to understand than that.

After 4 whole days, too. I want to get that job. Most of us have to do more than a few days work to get rated.

I like his cabinet picks. I'll wait until he puts in a full week to cast judgment.

People enjoy seeing a man work. This no-nonsense approach to the presidency as a business is refreshing.

Trump loves to be at the office. He works 20 hour days. Folks respect that.

meh

Rasmussen is notorious for being in the tank for Republicans.

I tend to go with RealClearPolitics, which is a poll aggregator. By definition, it precludes cherry-picking the polls.

RealClearPolitics - Election Other - Trump: Favorable/Unfavorable

They show Trump's approval peaking about 1 month after the election, and dropping a little bit after that. Reagan had similar approval ratings, but very good disapproval -- around 12%. Trump, on the other hand, has very high negatives. The result is he's the least popular incoming President in decades.

Since the election is 3.75 years away, what does it matter? Are they likely to commit to his re-election after 4 days in office?

Ummm..... No.

Donald Trump Approval Ratings at Record Low for New President | Fortune.com

Trump actually has record low approval ratings.

Something's a little screwy...

Gallup says under 50% and
Trump earned 90% approval from Republicans, while nearly as many Democrats (81%) disapproved. Independents split about evenly, with 40% approving and 44% disapproving.
That 9 point advantage should have been enough to push approval over disapproval because ...

... earlier this month Gallup said Republicans had a 3 point advantage over Democratics.

Yes, it is. The last Gallup poll I looked at over-sampled democrats pretty significantly. I haven't looked at these from either Rasmussen or Gallup and I don't think I'll bother. I believe by this time in Obama's first term he had already been nominated for a Nobel Peace Price, so obviously for some what's actually accomplished by the president isn't as important as awards and polls. Doing nothing with great style is an attraction for some.

Who cares? If you poll a bunch of unemployed safe-space living radical liberals who were too busy getting high to vote then of course they're going to disapprove of a president who is bringing jobs to this country. That's why it matters that you actually poll voters and not just any homeless jobless liberal.

Once you get to the word RASMUSSEN - nothing more needs to be said.

FYI, it's the liberals that generate all of the wealth for this country. Clinton counties account for 64% of the US GDP, Trump counties 36%.

The unemployed live in rural areas demanding that the government bring back jobs that are not economically viable. Instead of pulling themselves up by their own bootstraps, taking initiative, and contributing; they need Trump to come in with the big federal government and save them. Or better yet, move... After all that's the advice they give to the unemployed who live in the inner city.

Liberals don't need a president to give them jobs, they're happy to create their own opportunities.

Founder of Rasmussen Reports, Scott Rasmussen had to quit the company after years of partisan Republican polling that was so far off base so much of the time Rasmussen Reports had become a big white elephant.

Raz with or without Scott Rasmussen is the same consciously biased Republican polling organization. The thing is, Raz had Republicans winning when, unlike 2016, Republicans did lose...lots of 'em. Raz in 2008 and in 2012 missed the Potus race buy 5 points each time. On election day morning in 2012 Raz told Romney he could memorize his victory speech and toss the standby just in case draft of the concession speech.

Raz has Republicans winning whether they win or lose, makes no difference to Rasmussen Reports. Republicans always come out ahead there.

In 2008 Raz missed the Hawaii Senate race by 55 points, although his average by RCP for for the overall election was off by his usual 5 points of Republican bias. Scott R became known as Mr. Republican High Five. This survey is another Rasmussen whopper with a 14-point difference for Trump among respondents while other polls are much closer either way and most polling has Trump in the dumps.

It looks like this is yet another time when the vast majority of the Raz respondent sample wear red caps of Make America Grate Again. It seems that's how he chooses his sample that nobody else buys.

Yep, just cranking out those Executive Orders that the Republicans told us were an unconstitutional overreach just a few months ago..... and sitting around in planning meetings always looks like progress, even though nothing is really accomplished.
