WikiLeaks Slams Trump, Urges Hackers To Reveal His Tax Returns

Exposing govt hiding public info, and partisan dishonesty is one thing. Exposing private individual financial information is another thing. I would not have supported publishing Clintons private information either. Her State dept comms, the DNC comms, sure.

What are you afraid will be in those tax returns?

Nope. Hacking is hacking, leaks are leaks.

This is how the concept of principles works. If you abandon principles when it works for your guy, you abandon those principles in all cases.

no you don't. that is just absurd.
someone leaking trumps tax returns just to leak them and unethical.

if they were leaking them because of some kind of cover up or scandal etc ... then we need to know about it.

What are you afraid will be in those tax returns?

unlike you I don't care. the question is why are you so obsessed with something that frankly is none
of your business.

I'm bored by your after-the-fact distinction that "coincidentally" serve your short term political needs.

Hacking and leaks are parts of the world you inherited. It gave you the President you desired. You took on all of it, not just the bits and pieces you find convenient.

If you don't care then you don't need to be here. If Trump's tax returns are leaked and published, I will assume you are so bored by the event that you won't even show up in any threads discussing it.

there is no after the fact anything. there are facts and not facts.
I don't inherit anything.

Actually it didn't but you can continue to delude yourself if you wish that is why he won.

I didn't take anything unless you want to accuse me of hacking which would be a very serious crime almost the point of slander.

Yep, you took on all of the reality of hacking and leaks. You basically adopted a Great Dane puppy and are now dismayed to find that it's crapping all over the house. You don't get to tell other people that it's their dog.

why did you avoid the question?
why do you care? he has already submitted his finances to the government as he was supposed to do.

so far no word that anything was left out or not disclosed.

Someones private financial information.

Oh dear. Not that. Anything but that.

Quick! Someone get smelling salts for jonny5!

Then you will find the leaked tax returns boring and I will assume that you will not appear in future threads discussing it.

I will talk about what I want.

I will talk about what I want.

the emails came off the DNC server. unless you can show proof they were doctored.
wikileaks has had a pretty good run on exposing government corruption everything from the NSA
to other things.

Clinton doesn't like it because they are exposing her for what a lot of people already knew a fraud and a liar.

Ludin: Lovin' Wikileaks when it serves his short term political needs.

Are you married to non-sequiturs?

If you like the idea of breaking the law for short term political gain (hacking the DNC, hacking Podesta's emails), then you're staunchly on the side of hacking in all cases. It's yours. This is the zeitgeist you want.

What's hilarious is Republicans convinced themselves that Assange was pro-Trump, when the fact is he hates Trump. He just happened to hate Clinton more. With Clinton out of the picture, who is left for him to focus the laser beam of his hatred and insanity on? Yup: Trump. Have fun with that!

How does it feel to be married to the losing side? :lamo

It would take someone who feels strongly enough about it to go to jail.

People risk going to jail...sort of all the time.

I see the leaking of his tax returns as an inevitability. If Trump is smart he'll get ahead of it and release them now. His supporters definitely won't like what's in them, but at least he'd be able to spin it with his own nonsense.

In any case, why are his supporters even concerned? No matter what's revealed in the tax returns, no matter how bad, it's not like they'd care.

That must mean that some wouldbe leakers have been all over President Trump's returns and they're in order.

What do you expect to be in them?

As I said, I see this as an inevitability. We'll definitely be discussing this later in the year. In the meantime, I'd start preparing your spin for whatever's in it.

What happens to every story in western civilization where somebody makes a deal with the devil?

'Perhaps in an attempt to demonstrate its impartiality, on Sunday WikiLeaks tweeted a request to worldwide hackers to release President Donald Trump’s tax returns after counselor Kellyanne Conway told ABC Trump will not be releasing the controversial files after all. The whistleblower site, which was blasted during the US election campaign for only releasing material damaging to the Democratic candidate Hillary Clinton, tweeted the request with a link to its submission page.'

Thoughts?

Thoughts are that they're about 6 months too late.

The issue is that half the people wouldn't understand them anyway.
I am sure his tax returns are multiple forms and disclosures among a ton of other things as well.

they are probably highly complex and your average 1040ez filer wouldn't get it.

There is that too. And every line and entry in the massive return would be dissected and many would misinterpret what they are seeing or believe incorrect analysis provided by their anti-Trump websites. And the tweets and discussions by ignorant talking heads on TV plus thousands of threads on message boards would be speculating and criticizing and making that the only important thing in the world for months.

Mitt Romney released the January before the election.

Yes he did release at least one--or maybe two years--AFTER intense criticism and ridicule was heaped on him when he announced he would release his returns after the election. But Romney obtained most of his income from investments and wasn't running a massive international business conglomerate as Trump does. Evenso, Romney's returns were roughly 500 pages--that is a full ream of paper. I can just imagine what Trump's tax return looks like--you probably need a hand truck to move it around.

Just as an aside, Romney was highly sensitive to criticism and caved in to it--he tried to do everything just right to avoid it. He was 100% politically correct, a gentleman to a fault, and toed the line of public expectations as closely as any candidate I've ever seen. And still he was eviscerated, mocked, ridiculed, and savaged by the media, the Obama-supporters, pretty much everybody on the left. And what did it get him? A resounding defeat in 2012.

So far Trump has broken all those rules of expectation and he won. I imagine criticism for not releasing his tax returns won't bother him much either.
