yes because by seceding the south gave up its constitutional rights. It in fact created its own constitution

anyway, authority can be used for good or bad. Freeing the slaves and reigning in the south i would definitely call a worthy use of authority. There was a purpose beyond self gain, unlike so much of what Trump sets about

A lot of good it would do anyway, what with our enemy in putinland becoming an ally overnight solely because he helped trump steal an election. So yeah do it to scare china, maybe by 2020 they're our ally because they hacked the RNC emails to help cory booker or whoever win. It's all pathetic beyond belief that the interests of 300 million are captive to one egomaniac. At least the cold war at times made some sense beyond politics

Because they're not heroes to all of us and they and the "cool machines" haven't been used to protect us since WW2

I try not to be a dick about it and call them welfare queens like some on the left, but if they're going to be trotting out their massively wasteful $3 billion warship 'dick' as a point of pride (even though very few in the military would know the first thing about how to build it), i will react with disgust

It's like the draft dodger Bush II landing on that damn aircraft carrier declaring victory. It's just political shenanigans. Speaking of which, Trump had what 5 deferments himself? He is the last the military should support

I felt like a jumping monkey when we got back from Iraq. We got off the plane and they put us in barracks to drop our bags then moved us to a processing center. We couldn't see our families until they had the dog and pony show set up with the press and all the politicians possible. That took another 7 hours while we waited in a processing center while our families sat in a gym. It was a typical confused circle jerk.

And parades? I assume Putin has been giving Trump ideas. I guess Trump wants them to look like this:

Tell this to all the present and former Navy machinists, boiler repairmen, pattern makers, welders, hull technicians, electronics technicians, electricians, machinist mates, and enginemen.

Your knowledge of their required skills and expertise is extremely kindergarten.

Nope. In fact I've made it clear on multiple occasions that I don't like him. He has some substantial flaws that NO ONE is addressing, instead we're hearing this stupid crap. These threads aren't based on a desire to have an intelligent discussion, they are based on pure hate of Trump.

Yes, which there's no need to at all since like 1945. No, "If you **** with us, what you'll get is an H-bomb up the ass" Even the soviets realized this when their parades were nothing but hauling gigantic missiles around. If *that* is what Trump means, i think it sends a severely depressing message but at least it won't be fantasy
