Mick Mulvaney, Trump’s pick for OMB director, failed to pay $15,000 in taxes

True. That being said, those of us who opposed Geithner should also oppose Mulvaney.

That's where I am coming from. The book is the book regardless which side the person is on.

Greetings, Lutherf. :2wave:

Has Al Sharpton paid anything on the nearly $5 million dollars in back taxes he has owed for years?

Al NotsoSharpton is still behind on his taxes.

Yeah, you don't get it.

Obama didn't run a public university that was a sham. Obama turned over his tax returns. Obama didn't go bankrupt four times. Obama didn't enter the white house with a ton of conflicts of interest. Trump however qualifies on all those counts.

Trump has appointed people "like minded people"...

You don't get it, about staying on subject.

Uhh, maybe. My concern is how do you give a massive responsibility to a guy for budget management when they don't even take care of their own taxes?

It happens. I have done our personal taxes and business taxes myself for decades and rarely ever made an error when I was doing it manually. But using the new software from Turbo Tax or H&R Block, etc. I was much more prone to unintentional error or omission, which the IRS has reminded me of a couple of times--a 1099 didn't get entered, or I unintentionally skipped a section or whatever. The fix was always easy and it didn't ever trigger a full audit, but it happens.

So not knowing whether Mulvaney deliberately didn't pay those taxes or whether it was an unintended glitch, I don't know. But I can forgive an unintended glitch, especially in a complicated tax return. Deliberate tax evasion or that done out of ignorance, not so much.

Why do you hate to agree?

If Shumer is right, then he is right because he is right. Your opinion of his political allegiance really should not come into play.

I don't like Schumer. I agree that when he is right he is right. It's a shame that he has a valid grievance. It should never have happened.

Your thread isn't about all the deflections and diversions coming from trumpistan either.

You started your OP against the guy.

Have you now been whipped into shape by fellow trumposters ?

Do you have anything intelligent to post or is this the best you could muster up?

That's how I feel when I agree with Sean Hannity on something.

I feel like I need a cold shower after.

I asked you straight up if you were still against the guy after being swarmed by deflections and diversions from trumpistan.

Do you still agree with your OP?

GOPs are only now realizing in the 3rd week of congress how difficult YES is .

You went off on a tangent, just like you are doing now. I still agree with my OP. The guy shouldn't be allowed a position. Does that piss you off?

Welcome to leadership .

Right on time to deflect and divert to Obama.

The swamp will be overflowing on Friday and trump's own big mouth will keep reminding America of it .

Meh. At least I'm going to reserve judgement until his administration starts and actually does something in an official capacity.

Tim Geithner failed to pay 34 grand. Not only did Shumer want him confirmed, "as quickly as possible", but everyone from the Left wanted him confirmed as well.

Everyone? Did you do a poll of all people from the Left?

That would be unconstitutional.

LOL by definition, a successfully passed and ratified constitutional amendment CAN'T be unconstitutional.

Given that Al Sharpton isn't up for confirmation for a cabinet seat, I don't see how that's remotely relevant.

Everyone? Did you do a poll of all people from the Left?

You were equally outraged over Geihtner's appointment?

LOL by definition, a successfully passed and ratified constitutional amendment CAN'T be unconstitutional.

You're right, technically. I overlooked the, "amendment", part of Maggie's post.

Doesn't Charlie Rangel owe a ton as well?

That is what I asked about Geitner.

How does a guy who doesn't pay his taxes become Treasury Secretary?

All of the flak that will come Trumps way will bounce off him like oil off water. Wait and see how he will blow off 100% of anything remotely critical of anything he does. His attitude is he does not care what anyone thinks so get used to it.

He's not technically right, he's just right
