No, they are persons with whom you disagree. They are not the enemy. That kind of nonsense talk was not acceptable during the Obama administration and it should not be acceptable during the Trump administration.

There's a big difference between nonsense and direct talk. You're not engaging in direct talk.

No - they are the enemy. The right wing has gotten as far as it has because they view anyone but them as the enemy and they fight dirty to triumph.

Democrats are going to start doing the same thing to their enemy. And enemy they are.

Sour grapes over the election

Here are a few of those despicable, dirty tactics that the Right engaged in to steal the presidential election:

1. Getting Hillary to set up that home email server.
2. Getting Hillary to lie about that server publicly.
3. Getting her to meet with big money Clinton Foundation donors as SOS.
4. Forcing her to make the "Deplorables" comment.
5. Telling her the Russian "Reset Button" was a great idea.
6. Encouraging her to say in front of congress at the Benghazi hearing "What difference does it make".
7. Making her write the email saying the Benghazi attack was an act of terrorism and then getting her to lie publicly by blaming a video.
8. Telling her not to campaign in Wisconsin and Michigan.
9. Getting those democratic operatives to admit on tape that she was involved in the plans that were carried out to incite violence at Trump rallies.
10. Arranging for Bill Clinton and Loretta Lynch to meet privately in an airport in Phoenix.
11. Forcing the FBI to investigate Hillary for breaching national security.
12. Forcing the FBI to investigate the Clinton Foundation for using it as a means for "pay to play".
13. Making Clinton's top aid marry a pedophile pervert who shows his dick to teenaged girls.
14. Encouraging Hillary to admit she is a phony whenever she gave speeches to big Wall Street companies.
15. Arranging for John Podesta to write all those damning emails.
16. Having those emails hacked, delivered to Wikileaks and getting Assange to release them in the weeks prior to the election.

Dirty tricks indeed... pffff

What you people need focus on is the more than 900 political seats you have lost over the past 6 years nationwide, which I assure you is not due to "dirty tricks".

I like Shepard Smith.

He leans both ways.

Oh wait...........I didn't really say that did I?

It was suggested in your post. I asked if that's what you meant and you ran with it. If it's not what you meant, then fair enough (though I don't understand why you couldn't just say that from the beginning).

I agree. But given how often I've read posts of yours light on facts, I didn't put it past you.

But if you're not saying "liberal/socialist progressives" claimed that more people watch Fox News than the big three, then we're done. Because it looked like that's what you were saying. Which is why I wanted you to cite evidence.

Seems like we're good. Have a good day.

I wasn't suggested at all Slyfox696. Not even remotely. As usual, your posts descended into what I claimed from the beginning.

:screwy

Yeah... especially given the fact that the GOP controls all three branches of the federal government, and the majority of the state governments. They are anti-establishment outsiders... Not at all the elites that need to be "drained from the swamp".

Correct. Theyve been running on the mainstream ideology of crony capitalism, liberal socialism. The right, conservativism, small govt, personal responsibility, traditional morals, I dont think anyone really believes this is mainstream today.

I wasn't suggested at all Slyfox696.
That doesn't make sense. And yes, your post definitely suggested that in the beginning. You say it's not what you meant, so I'll take your word for it. But, as I said, I don't understand why you didn't just clear it up in the first place.

No offense, but this is just silly.

Generally speaking, we have a nation of idiots. Just because something is popular does not mean it's right. More people believe in bigfoot and UFO abductions these days than in scientific ideas with mountains of evidence behind them- like evolutionary biology, cosmology, or climate science.

It's just a sad reflection of the state of ignorance in our nation, not that any of those pop ideas or news channels have anything to do with reality. The reality is that Fox News viewers, among all news channels, are more uninformed on actual facts than those who don't watch any news at all.

Crony capitalism I get, but where does "liberal socialism" pop up in the current GOP agenda?

No it didn't suggest anything of the sort. Why do you expect me to take responsibility for your confusion?

That makes no sense.

and dispite that fox news still generates more viewers. fox has tons of local stations in cities all over the place.

Not the same company. Those are affiliates. FNC generates more viewers because its the only major source of news that isnt mainstream.

Infrastructure, saving social security and healthcare. Progressive taxation. They have to support these things or they wont get votes.

The only thing on your list that has gotten any play in the GOP agenda is infrastructure, and the plan there is to privatize as much of it as possible.
There is no "liberal socialism", as you define it, in the GOP agenda, at all.

No it didn't suggest anything of the sort.
It really did. You say it wasn't what you meant and that's fine, I accept that. But it suggested it.

Why do you expect me to take responsibility for your confusion?
If it wasn't what you said, why argue with me over it? Why not just say, "no, that's not what I meant, here's what I meant"?

You're not making sense right now. You spent multiple posts arguing over something you later claimed you didn't say. Why not just clear the confusion in the first place if you are interested in honest debate? I don't understand why you wouldn't just say it in the first place.

It is identifying the enemy. You cannot win a battle unless you first do that.

oh, and i guess you destroy the enemy in your thinking?

very strange that you think all Americans who dont think like yourself are the enemy.

Actually its the new normal. And you have Trump to thank for it.

The bad old days are coming back with a vengeance . Get used to it.

Never said that. But nice use of both straw man and lying about my post not to mention trying to move the goal posts.

you know, you really need to understand what is being said, like understanding that something is a question and not a statement

Sure there is. Look at their actions. More spending, bigger govt. Why do you think the GOP is in a civil war? Where do you think the tea party came from and went to?

What about their actions suggested that "saving social security and healthcare (and) Progressive taxation" was ever part of the GOP agenda?

You dont exactly seem them trying to make any real changes, do you? Its always about making minor changes to keep it going. Reagan raised the social security tax. Bush added Medicare Part D AND removed another 10 million from paying any income tax. The Ways and Means committee just put forth a bill to save SS by cutting benefits for wealthy to increase benefits for poor.

I personally think that those two issues are intimidating for the GOP. Fundamental changes in either program (other than making sure there will be sufficient financing to keep them going for future generations) would be hugely unpopular and have severe political consequences for the entire party.

But no... saving the programs hasn't been an explicit part of the GOP agenda in decades.

Doing nothing about big govt is part of their agenda.
