hindsight is 20/20, but 2016 was his best chance. the Democrats need to find someone who is amazing and inspiring, and they need to find that candidate ASAP. no more legacy candidates.

He could run while endorsing depends or viagra or both. He's a joke and he'd be a bad one in 2020. Its fun to see the "party of progress" full of retreads. Biden talking about running for president and the way past her prime time Mafia princess being re-elected as Dem leader after 8 years of decline

Trump would have crushed him. He's done nothing but spend his life in politics... a wind bag and on the wrong side of the aisle with ideas that Obama has clearly proven destructive.

Trump is going to keep doing what he just did with Carrier and even with the left lying about how it happened by reelection he will have an 80+% approval. So go ahead and run Joe.

I cannot stand biden politically but you gotta feel for the man. As a younger man, his wife and his daughter were violently killed in a horrific traffic accident and then his son-by all accounts a brave and honorable and successful man, dies of brain cancer. That sort of double body blows would have destroyed a lot of men.
 
The truly scary thing for Democrats is that some of the people they need to move the party back to the center and recapture some of the blue collar vote they lost are up for Senate re-election in 2018 and are very vulnerable and they are amongst the last of the democrat moderates.

They need to develop some downstate networks and find someone to help lead the party besides hardcore leftists or they are in serious trouble. I know some people wonder why this could possibly be a concern to me. Populism doesn't tilt just to the left or the right, there are some serious abuses the right never addresses and some the left never addresses, we need BOTH parties to hold the right feet to the fire from time to time.

Truth be told, Joe would've lost to Trump too. I cannot conceive of a situation whereby Joe Biden could be elected POTUS.

Joe Biden is possibly the only person that can equal Trump on saying real stupid crap in off the cuff remarks. It would have been interesting watching these two try and out stupid remark each other.

Biden; "Shut up you fat Orange turd or I'll walk over there and knock your lights out!"

Trump; "Bring it Baldy I'll slap the hair plugs out your scalp and make you limp back"

Moderator; "That ends our domestic portion now onto global security"

His dead son begged him to run on his deathbed, but Joe Biden's values the loyalty of the party over the last words of his dying son. Just food for thought.

He could take their primary in 2020 but he wouldn't win.
 
Biden could have actually beaten Trump in 2016. Pretty easily in fact.

The same was said about the right in 2008 AND 2012. 4-8 years later, they are in control. Americans usually get tired of the same political party being in power after 8 years.
