Bernie Calls Out Trump over Bannon appointment

"SEN. BERNIE SANDERS: This country, as you all know, since our inception, has struggled to overcome discrimination of all forms. And that is racism and sexism and xenophobia and homophobia. For hundreds of years, extraordinarily brave people have stood up, and some of them have died in the struggle, to end discrimination in America. And I say to Mr. Trump, from the bottom of my heart, and I know I speak for millions of fellow Americans: Mr. Trump, we are not going backwards in terms of bigotry; we’re going to go forward in creating a nondiscriminatory society. And in that regard, I call upon Mr. Trump to rescind the appointment that he made of Mr. Bannon. A president of the United States should not have a racist at his side. Unacceptable."

Ha ha - Bernie Sanders the sellout and loser, still has the unmitigated chutzpah to tell President Trump how to run his business?

lol - arrogant lot, those liberals, aren't they? ;)

I see alot of people on here questioning whether Steve Bannon is actually a racist. I have no idea, never met the man. And I avoid his propaganda website like the plague, so I can't say that I have seen evidence there. What I have seen is a campaign to convince everyone that he is not a racist by the conservative corner of the media. They are really trying hard.

Yawn. No one cares. The race card is dead. It died in Ferguson. Remember? Al Sharpton and all that?

My question is, what is so great about the guy that we would risk it? His appeal to the alt-right? Which let's be honest has racist undertones, when they are not outright spewing racism.

Call the 'Alt-Right' Movement What It Is: Racist as Hell - Rolling Stone

So why risk Bannon being one? When it looks like a duck, waddles like a duck, and quacks like a duck, can we not safely assume that it is indeed a duck. Or do we need it actually come out and say it's a duck and show it's duck lineage back to Nathan Bedford Forrest, before we go, it might be a duck.

There is no such thing as the Alt-Right. It's in imaginary boogie man, it's something the liberals made up and pulled out of their butts, because they're in denial. They can't admit they were bested by plain old conservatives. So they made up a new boogie man (and called it Alt-Right), and put it in the closet (where the racists and sexists live).

The Alt-Right "movement" doesn't exist. Where is its web site? Does it have a corporate identity? Is it a 501c3 or something? Where can I donate? Is there some place I can send money to? Who's the leadership, who actually runs the Alt-Right?

lol - what a bunch of hooey. Alt-Right my foot. All I see is a bunch of butt-hurt Democrats who can't bring themselves to admit they were defeated.

Just look at the sources in this thread... Salon, Mother Jones, Rolling Stone Magazine.... no one cares what these fools have to say. The mediuh's talking morons were wrong 100% of the time during this election, they consistently called the wrong shots and the wrong outcomes, they proved once and for all that they're completely detached from the reality on the ground. These people were making up poll numbers, and towards the end they couldn't fib anymore so suddenly their candidate went from 12 points ahead to 2 points behind.

lol - "Alt-Right". Jung and Freud would have a field day with these liberals. lolol :)

Who isn't a racist, sexist, homophobe, etc... on the right?

i would say i'm surprised that Trump would hang on to a stormfronter after the election is over, but perhaps he wants to throw the alt right a bone.

Your post seems to be uniformed and misleading.

And there you go. Proving once again the political hack you are. Well done

This argument might have some credibility, if it wasn't for the reality that everyone the Libbos don't like is a racist/xenophobe/anti-semite/homophobe.

if Trump doesn't want to be tainted by bigots and racists, then perhaps he shouldn't promote them to the highest levels of government. simple enough. you can call me whatever name you want, and that will still be the case.

Oh so you have some evidence that Bannon is a member of stormfront or any other white supremacist organization. What's that you don't. Oh how surprising. That's fine continue on with your partisan hackery

Typical pathetic leftist tripe. In ALL cases shriek racism! Bigotry! Sexism! Class Warfare!

Sadly...they dont even have the conscious wherewithal to be embarrassed by their own actions.

Bernie can shutup and sit down now. His 15 minutes of fame are over.

Who cares what the commie is whining about now . He is a career politician that has done NOTHING the last 35 years in office but complain .

Can someone please remind me why I'm supposed to care what an aging commie POS has to say?

this article sums it up pretty well.

Is Steve Bannon a white supremacist? Trump's advisor wants to rebrand racism as American "nationalism" — Quartz

Trump is free to associate with and incorporate this element of the right, and the rest of us are still free to point that out.

Take the raping silently, is basically what you are saying? Shouldn't all citizens have a say in how they are governed to a certain degree? Are you really proposing a 1/4 Of the country should now just be ignored? And don't give me that Obama had blah blah nomsense. He was blocked for six years by a deadlocked government of crybaby conservatives wasting millions on repealing a campaign promise he delivered. Imperfect as it is, after he passed it, he wasn't allowed the chance to alter or experiment with it. This election was the result of government ineffectiveness. The democrats were ineffective due to extreme opposition. So far they've only taken issue with an advisor. And thrown a few protests. Buckle up butter cup, your side brewed this storm and now we all gotta ride it out.

And tell This to Obama's SCOTUS pick...

LOL !! " Raping " You people were raped ?! No, you and the Progressive agenda that's done so much damage to this Country over the last 8 years was absolutely rebuked through a free and fair Democratic process

Should 1\4 of this Nation be ignored ? I have a great idea, we will give you about as much influence in the decision making process over the next 4 to 8 years as we were given under Obama. And what " storm " ??? A few butthurt Hillary supporters does not a storm make. If anyone had any reservation over their support for Trump, thats gone now and you can thank what are essentially huge temper tantrums being thrown by a bunch of children and I say keep t up.

Great way to guarantee a Trump second term

No it isn't. You just call it a strawman because you don't want to accept reality. I will state the reasoning again. The left will attack every little action that Trump takes. Example, his family wanted to go to the building next door for a burger and the press had a fit for two freaking days because they didn't tell them. Bannon is good at countering and attacking the left. He is a strategist. That is what strategists do. He is good at it.

That's how it works. The right is learning that it's easier to be in opposition than in power.

You are right, and being the ones in power we will bitch about every little thing that they bitch about.

You think Bernie is mad now?

Wait until Trump appoints his daughter Ivanka for the next SCOTUS opening.

Would you feel the same way regarding a Senator? Seems the Dems had Senator Byrd for many years. He was a KKK member. Yes, he eventually apologized, but seems before that he was a racist.

Yep. Pretty much. It's called the race "card", and etc - the trouble is, there's way more racism on the left, than there is on the right. Making whitey the devil and blaming him for all the ills of the world is racism, plain and simple. If any white politician said any of the stuff these Black Lies people get away with on a daily basis, he's be run out of town on a rail.

Sadly...they dont even have the conscious wherewithal to be embarrassed by their own actions.

And, we also have to realize, the protester types are a very tiny minority, their biggest protest was 5000 people and most of 'em were under a thousand. They're small, but they're loud and the media gives 'em a lot of attention. They're also well funded, they're given rides and meals and placards and the whole nine yards. We're looking at a tiny well-funded minority that's out to deliberately disrupt and inconvenience everyone else. That's just not the way politics is done - these people come off as two year olds throwing a temper tantrum. I don't really think they're stupid that way, I think they're being paid and they don't really care one way or another. The leaders in each city are given budgets and they're expected to organize protests. A lot of the money gets funneled down through communist party organizations, RCP and IWP and like that. ANSWER, funds protests. Once the money goes away, the protests go away. It's too bad we don't have any investigative journalism anymore, they could expose the daily operations of these groups and everyone could see exactly how they work.
