This is going to be a rough couple of weeks, made exponentially worse by claiming all favorable polling as "good news" and all unfavorable polling as "media driven spin" or Trump's term "rigged."

It is over in two weeks, thankfully. The MSM will continue to present "news" that basically says Trump is really bad and that Clinton, by comparison, is not so bad. Trump lacks the ability to refrain from saying stupid, contradictory and offensive things. Does anyone know what "really great" (GOP?) plan Trump supposes will "replace" PPACA?

This is good news as it might just light a fire under anyone who does not want Trump but is not so hot on Clinton either to get off their behinds and vote to stop fascism from coming to America under the Trump banner.

Its a secret plan.... just like his plans to defeat ISIS.

2 points is not enough to overcome democrat cheating and dead people not polled who will vote for hillary

But it is a hopeful sign

This is on his site, but it's rather vague.

Gee, took me literally two seconds to find.

And the Republican leaning IBD/TIPP poll has him down by 1... a 3 point drop in a few days...

There are 49 other states in The USA besides Florida and nationwide Trump is behind in the polls.

That is a hard cold fact.

His plan is to pull the federal government out of it as much as possible, but leave in place anti-monopoly laws so that insurance companies can compete over state lines. He has hinted at my wish that the employee will own the plan instead of the employer so that when the employee leaves a job he can take his plan with him. Employers can still contribute up to X amount to pay the premium of whatever plan the employee has. But instead of mandating what coverages MUST be included as PPACA does, the employee can shop for a plan that fits his/her needs. The single guy or the gal who has her tubes tied has no need for maternity coverage and the insurance company can offer lower premium if they don't include that. The young and healthy who only need catastrophic coverage can have that if they can find an insurance company who offers it. And for sure if there is a market, somebody will fill it.

Back before the government was involved, insurance companies had to offer policies that people could afford in order to stay in business. And the insurance kicked in after a reasonable deductible--say $200 or so--was met. So when we went to the doctor, we paid the bill out of pocket just as we do when we need our car serviced or repaired or need somebody to fix the furnace or do a plumbing job. Products, including healthcare, will always be tailored to what customers want and can afford when healthy competition and the free market prevails.

Those without insurance who couldn't afford their doctor or hospital bill were set up with a payment plan, even $10/month if that is all they could afford, but that policy discouraged frivolous use that occurs when medical care is required to be free. And there were provisions for those who were truly destitute too.

There are all sorts of ways to accomplish competent and accessible healthcare without going the socialized medicine route.

It won't happen tomorrow but eventually the USA will have a single-payer healthcare plan.

Most, if not all, that now get PPACA subsidies pay no FIT so the Trump (GOP?) nonsense about tax breaks and deductibe HSA accounts are pure fantasy. I, as well as many others, do not make enough to get a PPACA subsidy yet also do not qualify for Medicaid because I lack (minor) dependents and I am not disabled or elderly (enough). Medicaid expansion (in some states) is also part of PPACA - take that part of PPACA away and millions of more folks are going to end up in that "Medigap" class.

What, exactly, did you find for me - other than congress and the states will figure it all out later?

Whatever dude, ignore it if you wish. What plan can any candidate lay out that is not "congress and the states will figure it all out later"? Trump lays out some concrete steps that could be taken. They most assuredly would be better than what we have now. In fact, repealing Obamacare and doing nothing else would be better. But if you prefer to be obstinate, knock yerself out.

Judging by the early voting turnout at polling sites in my neck of the woods, Hillary doesn't have much of a chance of turning Texas blue this election cycle.

Overflowing parking lots and car lines around the block and no Hillary supporters to speak of.

Here's hoping this kind of hatred for the Democrat establishment transcends Nation wide

I agree with the bolded above. Unfortunately, (most of?) the states like getting "free" federal money pumped into them so PPACA is unlikely not to be "replaced" with some form of federal aid to the states (or to "poor" state residents directly).

Yep. And that's when things will get really expensive!

Costs on other countries with single payer universal care health care costs are about half that of the US on a %GDP measurement.

If the states control it health care would be more controlled on costs.

* Sigh *......been tried already, and it failed miserably.

VT passed Single payer, their Governor signed it into law. So where's VT's single payer system ?
