Wikileaks Email Shows Democrat Playbook to Rig Elections Through Oversampling

Lol.....how would you know ? You never read it.

Yes, I read the email stream, and unlike you (obviously) I also read the attachment - it's linked right there on the Wikileaks page - there's a tab for attachments - and the proposal is dated January 16, 2008. Perhaps reading the attachment is why I'm not digging a whole proving I'm ignorant about polling, oversampling, etc.

You need to read the article again it says otherwise.
Sampling bias is an issue to be concerned with.

if there i more of a slant one way than the other then we are supposed to be aware of it and question their polling data.

What article?

And sure if there is a slant one way or another then I guess you should question it. There's no evidence of any of that though. What you shouldn't do is get all caught up in Party ID. It's a fluid statistic that's constantly changing and that's why good pollsters don't weight for it. People change all the time how they identify. Sure if you see some number that's really, really out there that doesn't match up with other polls there could be reason to suspect error, (although you want to look at how they ask the question to see if there's a reason), but none of these numbers are out there at all.

I wouldn't be surprised if right now for instance there are many Trump voters who otherwise would identify as Republican, identifying as independent instead because Trump's railing against the Republican leadership. Doesn't change the fact they're Trump voters, but it changes the Party ID statistic in a representative poll.

Is that a Peter Laurie avatar? That must be the first and only such avatar on the interwebs.

No one with any sense would trust InfoWars. They have covered actual news on occasion, but Alex Jones knows what sells, and would rather make money off lizard people stories than rely on actual fact-based news.

Excusing Politico in this instance is just wrong, and the story about them working as Clinton's personal PR team should be bigger news than it is.

Yeah Peter Lorre is the man. Maltese Falcon is the greatest film ever made.

Also, the "oversampling" tidbit that was the basis of this thread turns out to be something that is done to get more accurate results, which I'll admit I didn't know until I read about it. There is no story here. Anyhow, Politico - hopefully he and other journalists will be fair and objective.

Tom is Tom Mazzie. He wrote the email and he writes for Politico, worked at Moveon.org, and runs a solar company. Other emails indicate he works with Podesta on HRC campaign. In other emails he refers to working with Atlas

Did you read that it was from 2008 and that oversampling does not mean skewing poll results to favor Democrats? This turns out to be a misunderstood email exchange because people - myself included - are unaware of what oversampling means in regard to polling. It means getting more accurate results, not results that favor Democrats.

Your signature is at least half right.

Yes... according to Hillary... I... someone who believes in LIBERTY from government... is deplorable.

I'm also... according to her... "irredeemable".

I was a Demokrat once. When I was young an idealistic.

Now being realistic, having seen and lived in much of the world, and having seen Demokrat programs miserably fail the people they were supposed to help, and have NEVER come close to meeting budget forecasts... I left The Left. For I am open minded, and couldn't support an intellectually and morally bankrupt ideology.

It amazes me how people, if they know the lies and deceits fomented by Socialists to gain and expand power... how they could go along with the charade. Some I believe, are simply so welded to the idea, they would feel they'd lose face if they admitted they were totally wrong about everything.

But most, probably do have good intentions but are accurately described in one of the Podesta Emails... most don't know... but they're ignorant... part of the "compliant and unaware" citizenry developed by the sick and twisted Demokrats. And these people, the ignorant... unfortunately... are encouraged to vote.

It amazing to watch people, who don't like to be told by others how to live their lives... give up huge chunks of Liberty to a faceless machine in DC, one that doesn't give a **** about them. The intellectual disconnect is massive, but explainable, because there is little intellect applied.

Yes, I was just answering the questions. I didnt offer an opinion. But to be fair, given all weve seen in this election, who would be surprised at a campaign inventing support? Astroturf is what PR companies do.

The new slogan should be, "if you're surprised, you're not paying attention."
