Actually Foval did sound like a jerk. I would guess that was why he got fired and good riddance. I would not be surprised if he gets rehired by the other side in the future though. It is not like he broke any laws by talking.

That didn't actually happen. People started saying he was guilty of sexual assault when women started coming out of the woodwork accusing him of doing exactly what he bragged about doing. Until then the outrage was over his words, not over claims he actually sexually assaulted anyone. We now have multiple witnesses besides just the victims who corroborate some of the claims.

Bull. The second that story broke people were screaming, "he's bragging about women he's sexually assaulted" while others said, "no, it's locker room talk" before the first woman came forward.

Just like the MSM cries of, "Oh noes! Trump is inciting violence like nazi little-hands Mussolini" . next thing you know, the MSM just happens to have cameras on every punch thrown.

This whole thing's been orchestrated.

No, people said he's bragging about sexually assaulting women. Which he was. No one was claiming he actually did it. They were claiming, correctly, that he was bragging that he did. Thus why Anderson Cooper's question was meant to clarify whether this was just bragging or not.

Stop acting as if this happens only within the DNC. The RNC isn't innocent either. They have a long history of political underhandedness and corruption, too, as this linked article makes clear.

Now, granted these examples don't get to the level of underhandedness and corruption as the Koval situation does, but let's not pretend as if this only happens with the Democrat Party. It happens on both sides. The only thing that makes this look bad for the DNC and possibly Hillary, too, is that Koval was caught on video acknowledging his role in sanctioning and/or taking part in "the dark side of politics". Whether Hillary's campaign or even Obama himself knew anything about what this guy was doing is questionable, but as I said in another thread on this matter it would be difficult to believe neither of them where uninformed as to what was going on. But as I also said there's a difference between talking strategy and talking tactics. For example:

If a political consultant told me his team intended to use robo-calls to prospect for potential supporters/voters, I wouldn't have a problem with that. But IF that robo-call included as message that demeaned my political opponent and I had no fore-knowledge of the content of that voice message, how exactly am I to blame for the call?

I'm in no way saying I agree with what's been disclosed, but to act as if this is a one-sided issue is just plain foolish. Both sides have their "dark side" political operatives who work real hard to keep their distance from the primary candidate. Koval took the hit and fell on his sword because he had to. He became both an embarrasment and a HUGE liability for the DNC. But you can be sure that if this video had never come to light, he'd still be "solemnly swearing he's up to no good" with a big fat grin on his face as he tells you "Scout's Honor" same as every other dark-politics operative.

Sidenote: Koval kinda reminds me of Control, the character who play's Oliva Pope's father in the ABC TV series, "Scandal". Somebody's got to do the dirty work. :shrug:

Other wise your'e just trying to divert attention away from the Op and justify what Foval did by drawing false equivalencies.

So, there's no diversion here. I'm just saying both sides do it.

The only reason this situation is garnering so much attention is:

1) Trump has made such a big stink over rigging the election throughout this campaign season that people have equated "dirty tricks" (i.e., paid protesters) to tampering with voting machines or fixing an election (i.e., stuffing the ballot box).

2) Koval was stupid enough to tell all to someone he trusted and foolish enough to be recorded saying it on video.

I'm not downplaying what has happened nor am I trying to be cynical about it. I'm just saying both sides employ very similar "dirty tricks". The reason this has become such a big deal is because for perhaps the first time in campaign history we have an operative for either party on audio and video telling exactly what he does, the fact that he likes what he does - he enjoys getting down in the weeds - and detailing how "gutter politics" really works behind the scenes.

It's disturbing no doubt and he deserved to be fired, but if the worse "corruption" that can be un-earth here is he paid mentally challenged people to be plants at Trump rallies whose sole purpose was to stir up the angst of his supporters so that they would retaliate and get caught on camera by the mainstream media, then all you have is an embarrassing situation here and no "corruption" or "rigged" election.

Again, both sides do crap like this! But here's the rub...

You can't control someone's actions. So, if I support a certain politician and some protesters stands near me and starts mouthing off, it's on me if I take the bait and haul off and punch the guy in the face! Here's the thing though...I don't have to take the bait. But that's what Ms. Koval wanted from Trump supporters at his rallies - a reaction that was so over the top it validated the racist, bigoted hatred many people believe is prevalent among Trump supporters.

My suggestion to his supporters: DON'T TAKE THE BAIT. :shrug:
