Leaked Emails Show That Trump Was A Tool Used By The Hillary Campaign From Day One

Re: Leaked Emails Show That Trump Was A Tool Used By The Hillary Campaign From Day On

So oddly enough, this could be a Wikileak that helps HRC by highlighting the absurdity of Trump? Funny.

I guess, I might have to read more, but from the OP it doesn't really look like Clinton was unprofessional. Why, it even has a Sun Tsu feel to it.

Re: Leaked Emails Show That Trump Was A Tool Used By The Hillary Campaign From Day On

Yes of course, that doesn't explain why the "joke" candidate is still close.

He's not...but, the fact that he is still even in the conversation should tell you how much of a mistake it was not to nominate someone who could have won.

Re: Leaked Emails Show That Trump Was A Tool Used By The Hillary Campaign From Day On

We aren't there yet, are we?

Again, it would be a mistake for Clinton to screw off to Antigua for the remainder of the campaign, but yeah, 47 electoral votes ahead with less than a month to go says we're essentially there.

Re: Leaked Emails Show That Trump Was A Tool Used By The Hillary Campaign From Day On

Low information voters, otherwise known as the GOP base. Despite a very crowded field, Trump received more Republican Primary votes than any candidate in history. What the GOP base obviously bought into was Trump's overt racism, bigotry and sexism. He opened his campaign with an appeal to bigotry and nativism and hasn't let up since. The pundits keep saying "what does Trump have to say to finally start to lose his base." That is easy, if he openly renounced bigotry and called for a kinder more tolerant society, he would easily lose half them.
Here, a good place for you to begin to repair the impenetrable ignorance of your post is by trying to understand the obvious wisdom of this one:

I'd say that we've all been played like a fiddle by both parties for longer than any of us can remember. We've been groomed by a system of government, which allows special interests to govern in the background, to simply accept the inner workings of the Kingdom of Washington, mostly without question. Well, until now, it seems.

So along comes Trump who doesn't fit the mold. Crazy as hell, but he doesn't fit the usual politician mold. But a lot of people are looking for a different kind of champion in government. So for a lot of people, Trump will apparently do in a pinch, since he appears to be cut from a different cloth than the run of the mill special interest robot.

While I see the necessity for the governed to tell the governors that the gig is up, that they reform the system that protects them from being accountable. Trump, as different to the political arena as he is, isn't the person to deliver the message to our government that it's time for the changing of the guard - then actually carry enough support from most all of the electorate to effectively act on it.

No one else could or would have won.
They would of been subject to the same, but probably lesser treatment and wouldn't have withstood the pressure.

You could be right, just don't count your chickens yet.
Although based on some of the things at last nights debate, I'm thinking someone has more Trumpisms held back.
That they'll drop in the next week or so.

Kasich would be winning Florida, Ohio and Pennsylvania right now--i.e. he would have won.

Trump is toast. Hillary laid back because she does not want him to drop out. A new GOP candidate would actually hurt her. She'd much rather see a wounded Duck on November 8 than a fresh face.

And well, here is the result:

The GOP was played like a fiddle and Democrats used every alt-right troll to its advantage. Hillary will now be president because Democrats knew Trump was an easy victory. The best part? The Democrats used what the GOP held to be its strength - diversity in candidates to their advantage. I hope the intern who came up with that idea got a big raise.

He or she earned it.

Considering how the Hillary Status Quo Machine has manipulated this election, I'm not sure how this revelation will put voters at ease.

With revelations she lies to peoples faces while hiding back room deals, do you think revelations of the extent of her manipulations will be seen as a good thing by voters, or a bad thing?

a "who cares?" thing

Actually, it shows that she can play the game better than Obama, IMO. So, in a lot of ways, I am glad she will be President. She can squash the Deplorables for us.

Kasich would be winning Florida, Ohio and Pennsylvania right now--i.e. he would have won.

Doubtful.
Kasich came off as horrendously weak.

In comparison Hillary is a much visually and vocally stronger candidate.
Kasich acts like that George Bailey from, "It's a wonderful life."
Seems nice enough, but nice doesn't win.

The debate is going to give him a rebound, maybe modest, but toast is too strong a word.
How many times have people said he's over already?

lol...he's toast. Best to just accept it now and avoid disappointment later.

Well, I have no doubts the indoctrinated are quite comfortable being manipulated and controlled. Life may appear less scary when others are in control of it.

I was speaking of voters in general. You know, the ones Hillary and her minions call deplorable and irretrievable.

I think the attraction to Trump is very much along the lines you laid out. Remember, before Trump came along, republicans were looking to have Jeb rammed down their throats and have him do battle against Clinton. People in both parties are looking for something else. That is why both Trump and Sanders were and are so wildly popular.

Hey JoG, remember when I was comparing the election to equity trend lines & equilibrium points? ("regression to the mean")

So what do you think?

I say it's legit, and there's going to be a bit of a shift back to Trump in a week or so. This thing has seemed to vacillate around +3 (or so) HRC since May or June. I think it's baked-in, except for knowing who will have the momentum during that last (most critical) week. But if my theory is true, I'd expect it to get steadier around the mean point. No?

I tend to agree fully. Only a major blooper or new information of grave embbarassment should be able to rock the boat right now.

Thanks, and I agree.

I beat on my kids (nicely, of course!) to get a solid foundation in math in high school.

[thorough algebra-trig, solid geometry, basic calculus, basic stats].

Firstly - they'll be prepared if they decide to study technical subjects at the university, if that's their choice. But more importantly, they have a basic understanding of mathematical concepts, and hopefully will able to see & understand relationships in the world around them and in their future endeavors.

irredeemable

At least get your quotes right...since you can't seem to get anything else right.

Re: Leaked Emails Show That Trump Was A Tool Used By The Hillary Campaign From Day On

I'll be disappointed regardless. :/

Years ago--wow, a whole lot of years ago, actually--I was considering becoming a Marine. This was 1982, I believe. Anyway, my dad sat me down and said something I clearly remember to this day. "Son, if you join, I'll support you 100%. But, you need to know this. No one in charge of the government gives a **** about you. They will march you up a hill no one really cares about, and you will lose an arm, leg or your entire life. And, no one will care."

Needless to say, I quickly decided then and there that I did not want to become a Marine. Anyway, I am always reminded of that when people whine about Benghazi or the countless lives lost in Iraq. No one cares.

That's "subjects."

Re: Leaked Emails Show That Trump Was A Tool Used By The Hillary Campaign From Day On

I saw that the other day.
Watching MOJO during the primaries it seemed pretty clear there was something going on.
They couldn't get enough of Trump.
And then after the Conventions it seemed dispositive that's what they were doing.
They couldn't trash Trump enough.
And now they're wondering if they created a monster the fly lure is having a tough time handling.

Re: Leaked Emails Show That Trump Was A Tool Used By The Hillary Campaign From Day On

"What the GOP base obviously bought into was Trump's overt racism, bigotry and sexism."

Please do us all a big favor and back up your ridiculous charges that the GOP base is overtly racist and full of bigotry and sexism.
It's beyond stunning how people can label millions of voters just because they don't agree with your view of this election.

14 million voters just slimed!

Why is it then that a candidate that runs the most bigoted and racist campaign since George Wallace also gets the most Republican primary votes of any candidate ever and that despite him running in a very crowded field. If he wasn't appealing to a bunch of bigots the day he annouced he would have had to drop out for what he said. If he wasn't appealing to a bunch of bigots he would have lost support when he said we should ban all Muslims from entering the country. If he wasn't appealing to a bunch of bigots, he would have lost support when he said a judge could not be fair due to that judge's "Mexican Heritage".

Are all Trumps supporters bigots? No, but probably half them are. There is a reason why so few minorities vote Republican anymore. It's not just African Americans that don't vote for them. Hispanics don't vote for the either. Religious minorites don't vote for them. Gays and lesbians don't vote for them. Even Asians don't vote for them. Now why is that? Do you not think the reason largely lies with the GOP itself?

And that explains Hillary's, "Why aren't I 50 points ahead?"

Yup.
She could've said "This **** ain't working out like we expected."
