U.s. Military now says isis leader was held in notorious abu ghraib prison

Clearly, not doing anything but ignoring the problem and hoping it goes away is the optimal solution. After all, if we pretend it doesn't exist, it doesn't, right?

Clearly we should install another Saddam, because that way we won't have to deal with messy democracy and its problems. We can just pretend the rest of the world doesn't exist.

Clearly we should just hide in the corner and shrug whenever an atrocity occurs because clearly the people who died wanted to die, right?

Clearly we should just pretend like it's all our fault and compensate the terrorists

Clearly if one says that 7 decades of our interventionism has helped create the situation we find ourselves in that it means the only other option is to ignore it, clearly. Clearly, we already had set up the ba'athists which led to Saddam being in charge and Saddam was our buddy til it was no longer advantageous for us, so clearly repeating that will clearly make things better, clearly. Clearly when people are oppressed, bombing them frees them from that oppression, clearly. Clearly, after 14 years of sustained war that has only made things worse, doing more of the same will make it better, clearly.

Clearly we shouldn't think about the consequences of actions, clearly we need to bomb more terrorists and all the civilians around them, clearly, as clearly that has been making positive progress, clearly.

Having financial interests in a country doesn't give you grounds to bomb the people and kill their families.

So what gives the citizens of one state the right to bomb another and then be immune from retaliation? That's not the way things work. If you commit atrocities, you can expect punishment.

You can not point out any lie, so stop being deliberately dishonest.

The lies told to take this country to war are legend, and maybe I'm confusing you with another poster, but you seem to be in denial of that fact. You deny the US government has committed war crimes, and that is either denial being manifested, or a damn lie.

Clearly, we didn't "set up" the Baathists--- and our collaboration with Saddam was limited to the Iran-Iraq War period. Clearly, history can be twisted to suit one's isolationist biases.

Clearly, when people are oppressed, ignoring them makes the situation much better.

Clearly, allowing groups to kill US citizens on US soil and abroad without repercussion would end well.

Clearly, we need to start subsidizing the terrorists as clearly, the poor dears have been traumatized by America's existence.

The War Machine has already admitted that the average deaths per drone strike is 1 terrorist to 9 civilians killed.

Conventional bombing runs kill civillians as well. It's a fact of life. An unfortunate one, but since the terrorists like to use civillians as human shields it's unavoidable.

Thats a dehumanizing tactic on your part. Most the time they dont even see the drones.

All I hear from you is basiclly "They do evil to us, so its ok to bomb 9 innocents for 1 terrorist". Your stance is one of zero empathy and secret bloodrage.

aka its not about refining societies, you just want them to be bombed

Do you honestly think ISIS is going to "reform"?

What about Hitler's Germany or Imperial Japan? Were they going to "reform"?

It sucks for the people who are trapped in the cities with the terrorists, but refusing to launch any bombing runs so long as there might be civilians somewhere in a city is self defeating and only provides the terrorists with a golden tactic.

It also really doesn't matter that they don't see the drones. They aren't supposed to be able to.

Then there was Gen Doolittle's raiding Tokyo ~ 100,000 deaths. We could be a lot more careless, or we could be "Russian" careless.

That's true. I suppose we should have warned the enemy a month in advance what our exact plan was--- give them time to "reform" and all :roll:

I never said they were immune to retaliation. What I did however say is that it's none of our business.

It's everybody's buisness, because as I said earlier no country is an island. WW2 proved that.

What did WWII prove exactly in that regard?

What did WWII prove exactly in that regard?

That the international community can't afford to tolerate aggression of any sort; that no country can simply ignore the outside world; etc.

The lies told to take this country to war are legend,
This is you engaged in our sophistry which has nothing to do with anything I said.
So again.
You can not point out any lie, so stop being deliberately dishonest.

but you seem to be in denial of that fact.
That would be you especially with your false claim of lying.

You will probably go to your grave thinking there was but no legitimate prosecution will, or even can ever happen because there never was any.

You will never be able to argue and convince him his propaganda is incorrect. And 5th column that it is, it is a free country and he can blow any bubbles he likes.

Gents, let's just say we don't share the same illusions.
