‘I lost. The ni**er won’: Alabama GOP mayor gets racist on Facebook.

Right, it's just a backwater little town. There is no actual racism.

Pathetic defense from a con? Check.

Nope. Her remarks were definitely racist. What I said was that it was hardly newsworthy because it happened in a little Alabama backwater.

If you want get pissed off about her comment that's your business but let's see if her racism actually had a negative effect on the community before we start getting all bent out of shape. If someone holds racist opinions that's one thing but if they start using their authority to negatively effect the community that's when it becomes a problem and, based on what's in the OP article, there's no mention of anything like that.

Wow... That was a lot of words to say nothing.

Can't read English or have comprehension problems? Ill help you out this time, but from here on out you are on your own, buster. \
1. I stayed with the OP
2. called out a bigoted statement
3. pointed out the fact that he avoided the point
4. predicted his smarm
5. emphasized by making it more dimensional by adding odor
6. threw in at least an attempt at humor...

What you got for your amount of words, eh? Lay them cards down, pardner...

Deflection? lol. I'm just saying there is better things he could be focusing his attention towards. The majority of his community is going to vote for a racist that has called black men like him "super predators" and yet here he is bitching about someone that is already a non-factor.

Well considering your first instinct was "but..but...Hillary Clinton" that's a real Bush league try to shift focus. Can't say nothing bad abou a Republican can we?

You should spend some time in Louisiana.

You should spend some time in Cleveland, if you want to see the other side of the coin. ;)

Look, if she said it, it's obviously despicable. I just find it extremely difficult to believe anyone would be that stupid. Furthermore, over 600,000 FB accounts are hacked DAILY.

I'll wait for a more reputable source to corroborate the veracity of the claim. ;)

If you want to be fair, liberals on this site do this on a daily basis. How many of you will accept a right wing blog, or even Brietbart, as a source?

What makes you think that I'm a republican? Did you ever think that perhaps I just think that a racist leading the presidential race is a bit more important than a racist that lost?

Oh, I think I kept on point with just a bit of a departure calling out an asinine, potentially, if not down right bigoted statement. However, good avoidance technique you got going there. Except not quite of the smarm, but, you know, well, we all knew that was coming... Speed of sound we know, wonder what the speed of smell would be... guess it probably depends on variables like wind velocity...

Hmm. Reminds me of this:

People are not geniuses when they log on to social media. I don't know why you'd be surprised by this realization.

What why did I intend it ?

Well, if you meant it in a bad way, then I would stand corrected. Your post was telling in the way it was intended to be.

Right, because FB accounts never get hacked.

Let's see, it has 'hacked', the 'hacker' posted that reply, juuuust at the right time, having done nothing for the alleged weeks up until the election results were out, then went back in, deleted that comment, and THEN set the settings to 'private' after an uproar occured.

You must have a couple PhDs in Hackology.

Wow.

She's supposedly a Christian too. What an ugly shame. I think this quote is appropriate for women as well:

"Of all bad men, religious bad men are the worst" - C.S. Lewis

I always try to approach a situation by putting the shoe on the other foot. It helps me to determine if a principle has any solid foundation or if it's founded in nonsense. So if I were to take any story in which somebody does something wrong and I said, "She's supposedly white too" or "She's supposedly Jewish too," it doesn't work at all. And that's because being Christian never had any bearing on it to begin with. That said, yes, it's infinitely more difficult to reason with a religious bad person than an irreligious one, because the religious bad person has god on their side. That's an authority an atheist can never compete with.

People can get lazy and thoughtless with their words when it's hot. Seems straight forward to me. Why are you trying to read some motives into this ?

Why are you celebrating her racism with pathetic rationalizations?

Why are you being so dishonest about who voted in that election, for that matter?

I guess people can. I don't know, I've never been angry (or "lazy") enough to start shouting out "nigger," or really any other racist slur. Let alone in public.

The woman took the time to write that on her facebook page, there is no rationalizing, it sucks that she holds these thoughts. And I don't vote down south, but vote early and as often as I can each election here in Massachusetts.

There is a regional difference that I just don't get, as pointed out me in another thread. I don't get the South. I get Bruins and Red Sox and snow, and maybe lobstah, but only a little, and pine away for another JFK to come along.

So, I trying to put into a cultural context. There's alot of social derision towards the South up here and I don't want that to be the case.

Because shouting that your political opponent is a "nigger" by itself implies a motive, namely "I don't like black people." It's not just, "I don't like losing." When you use the word "nigger," especially and particularly in this context, you're summoning back hundreds of years of racism and racial animosity. This isn't a hard thing to work out.

There are no regional differences in being such as racist asshole one would consider other people 'niggers' and describe them as such when one thought no one would find out.

"Lobstah" is not the same as 'nigger'.

There is no cultural context here.

There are only your pathetic excuses.

Donald Trump would. If fact he hired the head of alt-right rag Breitbart to run his campaign.

You had relatives alive in the '50's were they evil white people ?

Dumb post....but there were a lot of racists back then, it was commonplace.

Maybe you should spend your efforts pointing out the racism of Hillary Clinton and not on some woman that lost.
