Comey was really careful to say Hillary didn't lie to the FBI; he didn't say she wasn't a liar or didn't lied to Congress.

Rubio was one of the first to jump ship, if I recall correctly he could not win his own state. Shows how weak he was. Don't get me wrong I like Rubio but he does not know what foot he's standing on. One minute he running for president and he quits the senate, then he jumps ship and is back in going for the senate. His amnesty bill is what got him. He was my first choice at the beginning but he could not carry the day, in another 4 yrs he could grow into a superstar. But he has to be committed and stop with the "I quit", stuff.

Oh, I see, the unnamed Secretary you meant was Powell. No, I still don't care. Powell knowingly lied in front of the UN about yellowcake in order to get into a war that killed thousands of US soldiers and hundreds of thousands of Iraqis. I'm certainly not concerned about impugning his ethics, although it should be something with cause. That said, I don't take it as Hillary attacking Powell, I take this as saying that Hillary tried to get good advice from an expert (Powell) as some justification for what she did.

You shouldn't defend her as a knee jerk reaction.

It's pretty convoluted, but let's just say that he had every reason in the world to know that what he was saying was false. Partly to him, and partly people who lied to him, but he indicated many times before his speech that he knew it was bull**** or at least knew enough to suspect that it was bull****. He certainly access to the information to know better. Anyways, this is getting off-topic.

There's no question that the administration regurgitated lies to the American public to compel them to war.

Whether Powell knew the falsehoods to be lies is debatable.

i liked him alot at first also

but he just didnt win over enough people....maybe too young this time around

too inexperienced....i dunno

i think he is more middle of the road....and could bring in swing votes

but just wasnt his time

Powell does have a good reputation. I haven't always agreed with his views on a few things, but I think he's always been a straight up guy. He's an easy man to respect.

What ??? ... No, there was no active WMD program. Cheney claimed "there is no doubt [that Saddam has WMDs and will use them on us]." That was a lie. They also claimed that Saddam had ties to Al Qaeda and therefore 9/11 which was another lie.

The weasel words "active program" don't change the fact that the fellow below and the UN Inspectors said Sadam has them at the date and time captioned in the video below. Clinton and the UN Inspectors must've been lying too.

That is what the CIA concluded in the NIE .
NIE: We judge that Iraq has continued its weapons of mass destruction (WMD) programs in defiance of UN resolutions and restrictions. Baghdad has chemical and biological weapons as well as missiles with ranges in excess of UN restrictions; if left unchecked, it probably will have a nuclear weapon during this decade.

Unless there was evidence that the CIA privately told Cheney they made that up , there is, of course, no lie. And we all know know such evidence exists.

Kerry and Clinton said there were WMD'S in iraq, too.
