1,000s Turkish forces surround NATO’s Incirlik air base for ‘inspection’ amid rumors

Re: 1,000s Turkish forces surround NATO’s Incirlik air base for ‘inspection’ amid rum

We have nukes stored there.

Several gravity B61's or something or other are in secure bunkers unless they got hustled out of there, which is the prudent thing to do.

Turkey could fall into full Walking Dead wasteland territory and our nukes would be secure.

Ah yes

Madam Pres

See how it rolls off the tongue

Won't be the first Clinton thing to ever roll of a tongue in Oval Office.

What you did there. I see it.

That is what the Pakistanis say about theirs to, and no I dont believe them either.

Opponents of the weapons, like Frank-Walter Steinmeier, the German foreign minister, consider them “absolutely senseless”—and an inviting target for terrorists.

With a few hours and the right tools and training, you could open one of nato’s nuclear-weapons storage vaults, remove a weapon, and bypass the pal inside it. Within seconds, you could place an explosive device on top of a storage vault, destroy the weapon, and release a lethal radioactive cloud. nato’s hydrogen bombs are still guarded by the troops of their host countries. In 2010, peace activists climbed over a fence at the Kleine Brogel Airbase, in Belgium, cut through a second fence, entered a hardened shelter containing nuclear-weapons vaults, placed anti-nuclear stickers on the walls, wandered the base for an hour, and posted a video of the intrusion on YouTube. The video showed that the Belgian soldier who finally confronted them was carrying an unloaded rifle.

I doubt it's another coup attempt. More like Erdogan flexing his muscles to gain leverage in negotiations with NATO. However, if he isn't careful, NATO member or not, if he cuts off the US Air Force and other US forces located there he'll get a US boot shoved up his rear. I can't imagine the US DoD just sitting on their hands with 7,000 troops surrounding our forces at Incirlik Air Base. This has the potential to go real bad, real fast.

I just hope Obama is up to this.

I can imagine Obama not "getting it", or thinking he's got a better idea. Or probably not giving a rip.

The USA won't do squat, other than negotiate a safe removal of our personnel & equipment.

We need to do a "full Nixon" and have him get hit by a meteorite or dead goose something.

Why this is not all over US media is beyond me. I've seen it on a number of other sights, but none US based.

There are numerous on-scene reports, pics, and video's all over the internet.

We're not interested in news of the world. Just tell us about Hillary or Trump or whatever some celebrity did.

So they think we were involved in the coup attempt. Has anyone put forth any proof?

You have to look deep into the small minded world of the average Turkish Islamist. The accused coup leader resides in the US, therefor the US must be involved.

Erdogan's going to find out real fast what's up if he tries something moronic, but all that Neo Ottoman bull**** might have gone to his head. We'll see.

Turkey claims the USA/CIA is behind the coup attempt. Possibly true. The CIA has kept that Gulen around for years, just like they kept Haftar around to try to run Libya. I don't understand why the USA would want to stab Erdogan in the back, although my personal opinion of Erdogan is right there with whale crap. The Syrian embroglio and the USA complicity in arms shipments to Daesh and/or affiliates combined with Erdogans desire to wipe out the Kurds has come to cross purposes with the USA working with the Kurds. This is serious because now the Turks are allying with Russia, who warned Erdogan about the coup, and the TurkStream pipeline is back on the negotiating table. The Syria War is about controlling pipelines to Europe and USA corporatists, joined at the hip with the CIA, are about to be bent over and get a little comeuppance. The Turks surround Incirlik because theya are certain the USA had a hand in the coup and they want to distribute an equivalent fear among the NATO allies (?). I would definitely not read USA media to find out what is happening in Turkey. Follow up at neutral foreign sources. or sources near the Turkish border.

So you want me to use sources controlled by Erdogan, who is a rather sketchy fellow at bets and just survived a coup which was amatuerish at best or staged by his own guys to allow him to crackdown on dissidents. Okay.....

You seem to think the CIA runs the world as well, which doesn't bode well for your credibility.
