Cop gets served a sandwich with ground glass in it.

I don't understand.

Do you really think it is almost impossible for glass to get in food ?

I didn't say it is impossible just that it can't happen by accident... too many people from chefs, expos and food servers involved in the process, at least in good restaurants.

I do believe you said "almost impossible."

Ideally, yes, they'd use plastic cups. As a matter of practicality, it is common to have brittle glass and ceramic eating materials that can be prone to shattering, shattering is likely to launch particulates all over the place, and so it's not even really that uncommon.

I did say almost impossible but I also stated that meant where I worked... in fine dining. Denny's, I-Hop or the Claim Jumper? Maybe it is way more possible.

What? You've never had glass in your food before?

Happens to me all the time, let me tell you.
Happened to my Mom at a Lawrey's Prime Rib two years ago, and to me in my soda when I was a kid.

I don't think it is that rare. Unusual yes, but not so rare as to be unheard of.

Perhaps you could follow your own advice. You have heard about sarcasm, haven't you?

The fact that there was no evidence of wrongdoing on part of the restaurant reinforces my belief that this was staged.

Looks like you owe tannsgrisnir an apology. If you get to know reinoe a bit better you won't be surprised with the nonsense he posts.

Dude... This is really weird.

...Really?

Right now, of all times?

I'm gonna wait to see what they say when the investigation is officially over.

Maybe the insanity of 2016 is making me a bit cynical or something. I don't know. And it's not like I'd be the first. But this is just way too weird.
