Elvis died taking a ****. Why? Because he was 200+ pounds overweight and a cheeseburger away from a heart attack.

Maybe Mr Garner should have thought twice before choosing to not cooperate with the cops. I mean...come on...its not like he didnt know the drill. Its not like he hadnt been in that same situation 30 times previously.

So what racial issue does Ben Carson attempt to fix or bring attention to through his leadership of the black community? According to Ben Carson himself, he doesn't talk about race all that much.

Ah. So your definition of "black leader" requires that a black figure focus only on specified issues in order to be a leader? I'm sure black people everywhere are grateful for your enforcement of their leadership categories from your white perspective.

Sure, but was Garner going to for them anyway, or do you think that being choked may have hastened the process a bit? Everybody dies eventually, But if the actions of another person hasten it significantly...

Or maybe it is because a large group of his neighbors, a grand jury, hearing the evidence, determined it was not sufficient to charge anyone with a crime.

I find I agree with you. Everything bad that occurs due to politics is the fault of those who do not stand for individual liberty and freedom. That is today's Left.

The 'choking' did nothing. It was the physical exertion that taxed the heart and caused the cardiac arrest.

Street wrestling was way more exciting for him than it was for us. His heart rate probably shot up and never went back down until he began to assume room temperature elsewhere.

I'm sure Garner's family is comforted by the fact that the party of individual liberty is defending his killers.

I think the White House being painted white is racist.
Let's paint it black. Hmm, wait, this might offend the white folks.
OK, I know what to do: let's paint it black and white, in stripes.
Oh wait, the brown folks, the Asians who are sort of yellow, and the Native Americans who are sort of red wouldn't be represented.
OK, I know what do do: let's paint it in all colors of the rainbow so that everybody gets represented.
Oh wait, the anti-gay folks wouldn't be happy. Darn.
All right, let's paint it with a reflective coat; it will look like mirrors, then no colors will stick.
That works.
We'll need to refer to it as "The House" instead of the White House.
If we do that, finally America will be rid of racism!
Hm... but people will still be wearing colorful clothes.
I think we should pass a law to make all clothes, cars, etc., have that reflective coat. There's the added advantage that we'll look very futuristic and sleek.
But what happens when nature insists in snowing, and at sunset night turns black?
So, forget the reflexive stuff. We could just scoop out the eyes of all Americans so we'll be really color blind.
Oh wait, we'll be a nation of blind people.
Hm... that's OK. We're already a nation of blind, dumb people (and fat as well). Without eyes we won't be able to notice how fat we are.
I can't do anything about the dumb part, though. I'll think of something. Oh well, I'm so dumb, I can't think of anything, so that's that.

There's a lot of defense of the police. All of it by rightists. Who ironically love personal freedom and hate tyranny so much that they blindly support the government in two cases of the government killing a citizen. How is that "personal freedom?" Garner wasn't even afforded the freedom to breathe.

Police abuses are the antithesis of personal freedom, and the vanguard of tyranny. And what we see from the "freedom lovers" is support of that.

Bear in mind that these are the same people who shrieked about jackbooted tyranny during the whole Cliven Bundy fiasco.
