New York doctor cleared of Ebola, which means there are no known cases in US [W:115]

Re: New York doctor cleared of Ebola, which means there are no known Ebola cases in t

All of them.

Now,how hard was that?

No, you can't ban all flights, that is just foolish.

OK, feel better?

You want to shut down every airliner in the sky, world wide?

No, just shut you up. You want total access to our country for anyone at any time. I want total isolationism. So I see that we will never agree. Let it go.

Shut down every airliner because there were two people who travelled here with ebola?

And put half a million people out of work, not counting airplane manufacturers, ATC, FAA, parts mfgs, etc.

That is a really extreme and dimwitted idea.

Yes, if that's what it takes.

Not going to happen, very dumb idea.

How about you just build a bunker for yourself?

In Florida? Na, I will just enjoy the sun. Oh, and sorry if preventative measures to keep a virus in check that we have no cure or vaccine for. Bothers you so much.

No, over the top paranoia and over reaction bothers me. What bothers you is that the system worked and there is no outbreak in the USA.

And the whole idea of the quarantine was to see if she had it.

No, the whole idea of quarantine was for governor's to show how tough they were at standing down a monster the size of a small ant, at the expense of a true American hero.... of course, all with great in difference (and ignorance) to the actual the science behind it. It was political grandstanding at its best (of course, who cares about the innocent lives affected)..

Re: New York doctor cleared of Ebola, which means there are no known Ebola cases in t

Did she "cry", or did she say "**** your quarantine, I'm not giving into these stupid politicized fear tactics"?

Eh. I'm not going to say that Ebola wasn't sensationalized, but taking it seriously was how it was beat. A quarantine that seems extraneous after the fact was ultimately sensible, IMHO.

Re: New York doctor cleared of Ebola, which means there are no known Ebola cases in t

And another medical professional has died. I guess he should have told them to go pound sand.

It's curious that you say Ebola has been "beat." The exact same risks to the general population - approximately zero - are present today as were present when we had 4 or 5 infected people in the U.S. And the disease is still killing people in Africa, U.S. workers are still there treating people, they're going to come home, etc.

Just as a general comment, it's pretty frightening how easily the population was worked into an irrational panic about a disease that really wasn't ever a risk to anyone not dealing with extremely sick patients here or in Africa. Or, whatever risk Ebola was, it paled in comparison to the daily risk we all take driving to the store for a carton of eggs or to work.

Told who to go pound sand?

I guess you're referring to the doctor who died a few days ago in Nebraska, after being flown here in critical condition for treatment in a specialized unit? Why would he tell "the G" to go pound sand? What did "the G" do wrong in his case?

No, and no.

OK, then who? Is being cryptic somehow your goal? If so, you're doing a helluva job!

BTW, "No, and no." makes no sense. There were three questions and only one can be answered with a yes or no. :doh
