Letter: Holder Aide Accidentally Calls Issa Staff for Help Spinning IRS Scandal

"According to the letter, Fallon – who is not named in the letter but confirmed he made the call – asked if the aides could release the IRS scandal documents to “selected reporters” to give Fallon an “opportunity to comment publicly on it.”

What is the DOJ doing running interference on this investigation?

This administration is a clown college.

What is the DOJ doing running interference on this investigation?
Because the information that the IRS complied was done for the DOJ in the first place.

So the real questions should be:
1.) Why was the DOJ requesting the information in the first place?
2.) Why is the DOJ being allowed to investigating itself?

Oversight GOP has also hit Lerner for giving 1.1 million pages of tax return data about 501(c)(4) organizations to the FBI just before the 2010 midterms — 33 tax returns that included unlawfully disclosed private taxpayer information.

Taylor said Lerner didn’t know and sent them because Justice requested the documents: “She [understood] the donor information on Schedule B had been removed. In some cases, we later learned, it may not have been.”

The IRS has acknowledged that the 33 returns were not scrubbed of taxpayer information as required by law.

This administration is a clown college.

It goes beyond that and beyond the administration. It's becoming evident that this is a Democrat driven issue rather than a more narrow Obama administration issue. It's exposing congressional Democrats as co-conspirators in using the IRS as a political weapon against their opponents. It exposes the Democrats as pro-party rather than pro-American.

The Democrat party is a very real threat to the principles on which this nation was built.

But, there's no scandal! Oh no!

Well, maybe we need to recap all this.

- A senior employee of the IRS publicly admits she harassed Republican PAC's in the lead up to the lats election.

- That senior aide testifies under oath it was all the fault of subordinates.

- Subordinates say no, she was responsible in sufficient numbers to make anyone but diehard Obamarats not doubt the original story.

- The senior employee, hires a battery of lawyers and begins fighting congress about re-appearing and invoking the fifth amendment so that she won't "incriminate herself"

-The administration says "old news" and calls on Eric Holder who has just lied to congress about an illegal gun running racket in Mexico

-Now a member of Holder's staff has contacted the investigators so he can issue a statement about the latest bombshell before the investigators.

I have to go with Obama on this one...theresnothingtherethisallapartisanwitchhunt......

and it will only take three years to abolish ISIS, we have Putin on the ropes, Obamacare is the best ting that ever happened to American and the Republicans will lose every seat this November, Michelle will be president and aliens have spiked your water supply

Seriously, has there EVER been an era when those who are in power haven't used agencies like the IRS, EPA, etc., to punish or "get back," their detractors?

Hell, even Al Capone got zapped that way.

That makes it ok?

You seem to be forgetting that the information gathered was at the behest of the DOJ in the first place.

iLOL
Do you get it?
It was the DOJ that started this ball rolling in the first place by requesting the information.
That is and should be part of any recap laying out what is known. And it is what you failed to include.

Al Capone was a criminal...you do understand that don't you?

Al Capone was a criminal...you do understand that don't you?

Most certainly.

Point is, the IRS, FBI, EPA, and every other alphabet agency the gubberment has, has been used at one time or another, against people the gubberment, both Dem and GOP, is at odds with.

You DO understand THAT don't you?

I'll say this slowly....Al....Capone...was....NOT...a....politician.

Now, I don't agree with the premise that because it has happened in the past, it is ok now. But, since you've made the accusation that this is common practice. I'm sure it will be easy for you to find some examples from every "era". I assume by era, you mean decade? Administration?

So, if I understand you correctly, aside from the recent TP/IRS scandal, you do not believe that the IRS, or any other government agency, has ever been used as a political weapon by any office or party, past or present? If you truly believe that, then it is no wonder you talk slowly.

Just sayin'.

The DOJ is chuck full of rats! Who are absolutely helping with this cover up.

Nice try, but I never said that. I implied that it wasn't as rampant as you stated. So, give us some examples. If it is as rampant as you say it is, it shouldn't be hard to find something.

Again, I find myself doing other people's homework. How about this. Instead, let's just say that you are right and I am wrong and that the government rarely, if ever, abuses it's power and agencies to advance their own agenda. It bothers me none if you want to believe that. No skin off my back. I feel no obligation to educate you.

However, I would advise you to NOT Google, "Government Abuse of Power," as it may very well damage your intellectual ego.

Lol, ok...I won't do that. And I won't accuse you of being incapable of defending your claim and consider the claim bogus.

You may accuse me of anything you wish. You are insignificant.

I just spent a half-hour posting links to one of our esteemed posters here earlier today and, quite honestly, I am fatigued. You can tell some people that the sun will rise in the east tomorrow morning and they will want a link. Some kind of proof. I'd just as soon send them down the road as ignorant as i met them, believing the sun won't rise at all, if that's what they want to believe.

It is not my duty to educate or persuade anyone here. You are free to believe as you wish sir. Have a good day.

So Issa is a rat for wanting the IRS held accountable for way over stepping their authority and breaking the law? You do realize this also benefits all Americans? Or is it ok to target citizens that you don't agree with?

To recap: a hit piece form Breitbart purports to have a letter from Issa, who reported that he has a staff member who claims that Fallon called him by mistake and said silly things.

Yeah, this is really convincing. Not one link of the chain has any credibility. If I were a betting man I'd say, Issa, his staff member and Breitbart are all lying.

Did you not read the letter?
